    Snap TV Choppy Lag

So the one function that made me choose Xbox One over PS4 has been ruined ever since the last update. Fix this fxcking ***. I didn't pay all this money to watch choppy video when my tv is snapped. I'll bump this post everyday until I get a response, developers.

And don't tell me to hard reset.

    :)

    TV Lag when snapped

My Xbox one works pretty good but one of the complaints I have is that when I use the snap tv function, the picture is lagging and choppy , is this really how this feature is supposed to work? How is this a good idea , I can't imagine using this snap tv
function for anything other than listening to the audio of a sports game due to this lag... Frustrating . My tv feed works perfectly if used in full screen but when snapped is just laggy and intolerable.

TV app not working on snap

If I start the One and start to play a game, then decide to snap TV, the TV app and OneGuide fail and return an error after a while. If I then switch to the TV app full, it will also fail. The only way to get the TV app to start in snap is to launch
it full before trying to snap it. This only seemed to appear with the new Windows 10 update. Additionally, at all times, live TV is choppy.

Dude, there's no solution to this. I really like the convenience of the xbox tv system, however, I've spent hundreds on videos and tv shows I can't watch.

+ Your local ISP will say it is just fine

+ Microsoft will say they have no problems and tell you to hard reset - they won't give you hard details on server performance however.

I spent days battling this, weekends with support, rebooting, trying all kinds of network settings. The ONLY solution is to wait until the whatever black cloud that is hanging over the network has passed. In my case it took about 6 months (I did not replace
any hardware, including my HDMI cable, do any reconfiguring or change how i turned the box on or off -- it just got better).

So things have been great up until yesterday, when the black cloud returned. I am not going to go to Microsoft Support. They cannot investigate the problem, nobody on their team has that level of technical knowledge -- that is, nobody can investigate the
integrated solution of how their network plays with other networks. That grey area, is where the dragons be.

What I would like if Microsoft and, say, Vodafone NZ, could 'certify' their services as working together. And someone could straddle the delivery mechanisms and be responsible for performance end-to-end. Instead of batting you back and forth between under
    resourced support technicians.

The kicker is -- you get no refunds from Microsoft if you can't view what you paid for, due to technical black clouds nobody can understand or debug. They take your money, you curse at the sky, and very possibly it's just because they suffer high load on
a pacific server. But there's no way you can prove it, or understand it. It's an impossible monster. The only solution really (for me anyways) was take my business elsewhere.

One other solution Microsoft could do, is what the pirate sites do. Let us buffer.

If bandwith is poor -- just provide a mechanism for us to make coffee or dinner and when the buffer is full enough, then we can watch it.

    I'd be fine with that.

Sweet. I'm currently streaming off a pirate site, while xbox is choking frame by frame.

    See you in six months!

The NXOE update busted the Live TV feature for everyone.

There are other posts about it on this forum.
