Snap and App got removed

I just installed the new update on my Xbox One and Snap and App got removed and i'm extremely pissed! I want it back on the Xbox immediately I use it every day to watch Twitch and play games at the same time. I'm absolutely furious and disappointed that
this feature got removed. Put this back the Xbox One ASAP! and I defiantly want to this to be reviewed by the Xbox team ASAP! You guys have know idea how pissed off I am about this. I hope this gets put back on in the next update VERY SOON!!!

No longer able to snap Netflix

Netflix used to appear in the snap list, and worked great to watch movies while playing games. But now the app no longer appears in the list (on both mine and my friends consoles)

Why has the snap feature been removed from Netflix?

They said they did it to improve navigation speed among other things.

Mike Ybarra, the Corporate VP of Xbox and Windows had this to say on Twitter:

"We replaced Snap to improve multitasking, reduce memory use, improve overall speed, and free up resources going forward for bigger things."

I didn't snap anything because when I play games, I don't want anything else cluttering up my view so this news is quite good to me. I can see it sucking for people that used it though.

blackscorpio17 im totally with you on this when i decided to get a xb1 it was for the features that were at the time sold to me by microsoft,a family entertainment system,hand gestures,snap so we could choose what we wanted to do while gaming etc but over
time they have removed many of these features now,personally i can not understand this update to me it's pointless still got to come off game to select app if app isn't recent at least old dashboard made more sense and worked better around the idea of a gamers
needs and snap too

Hi there apologies for the late reply!

The snap feature was removed to make way for other features and allow apps to utilize the new overlay system. There would not be a way to snap apps any longer.

Snapping apps has been removed from the Xbox operating system and will no longer be functional. This is probably permanent.

Snap was apparently removed for
performance reasons.

Performance issues? It always worked great. It's the updates that came out for the apps that could be snapped that didn't work. 👎
