Snap an app feature return?

So when I first purchased the Xbox One there was the snap an app feature. With recent updates this feature was somewhere down the line discontinued. After speaking with Microsoft staff I was encouraged to bring it up in a discussion to hopefully bring it
back. I kept putting it off but after the inconvenience for those of us who are into watching youtube videos for helpful tips and walkthroughs or using the web to follow along with text walkthrough I finally decided to bring it to the attention of Microsoft.
I do not know why it was discontinued but I beleive it was a major breakthrough in the newer consoles to have this feature. For me personally I loved it. Being able to follow a walkthrough when rather then rely just on fellow gamers and the constant frustration
of not getting anywhere because being stuck in a game.or whether it be just simply multitasking, it was very convenient.

My question is will this feature be coming back anytime in the mere future? I mean since its been gone it is big inconvenience to have to look at a phone and watch videos rather than being able to have everything right there in front of you. I also beleive
it to be great for sales as I beleive there are lots of people that watch game walkthroughs and multitask.

What is the status on this topic?

Facebook and Twitter app?

Will their be an app for Facebook and Twitter? as using them through internet explorer is awkward specially when using it through the snap feature would be good if it was an app for them like on your phone which would fit the full length of the snap feature.

I am right there with ya. I mean if they can bring back the feature of being able to play your own music while playing a video game then they can bring back snap. hell they could make it where you can position the window either in the upper left or right
or the bottom left or right. I used to use the snap feature to watch the news while surfing the internet or playing games. I also would watch tv or play games while Skyping friends and family. Also snap was the #1 reason I even bought my DAY ONE Xbox.

Hello Scarface,

The Snap app feature was removed to improve the overall dashboard functionality. Even when the Snap app feature was not being in use, it caused tons of lag when simply navigating the home screen.

Hopefully in the future, new tech can allow the snap feature to return. I made a lot of use out of it. However, there doesn't seem to be any plans at the moment to bring it back.

I do not know about the party chat issue, but:

1. At the moment you cannot snap Skype. This feature is still in the works.

2. You can snap something and still move in-game. To do this, first snap a desired app, then go Xbox Home, select game, and return to it. You will make the game window active this way

Since the party system is now part of the Xbox Guide it can't be snapped anymore, since it's not an app. Also the feature of seeing who's in an app has been removed.
