So, you have noticed that the new XBOX ONE S is slow.

Why is it slow, this is not a question, I am giving you an answer. I have read many posts and many are outdated and none answer the question. It seems that no one is interested in the architecture of a games computer anymore. To understand the problem' you
must look at the Ghz. The original XBOX 360 has 3 cores, each runs at 3.2 Ghz and from what I gather the CPU had 319.6 million transistors. I think I read somewhere that the newest update had 500 million transistors. Now lets compare that to the XBOX ONE S,
it has 8 cores and 5,000 million transistors, each core runs at 1.75 Ghz, that means it is trying to load more data per core than the 360 at less than 1/6th the speed.

How is it that Microsoft could make such a stone age blunder. The simple answer is that all games computers run on architecture that is based on a price point. In the case of most games computers since the 1980's, the architecture has always been 4 years
behind to keep the price low and to give the PC games programmers plenty of time to build up enough titles to make a games computer popular. The main reason why it is so slow is most likely that the type of processors that were on sale 4 years before launch
are the same as what is in the XBOX ONE S.

This type of logical progression inherent in the games computer market is what ruined the DREAMCAST, because at the time the most advanced hardware and graphics chip had a TILE based graphics engine that was harder to program for making games. Not many people
wanted to make games for it and it died a horrible death. That is not likely to happen to the XBOX ONE because it has significant FANBOYS AND GIRLS to keep it going, but Microsoft has made other blunders that are upsetting gamers. One is that you need to be
online to run it, an other is that it has no exciting artistic story based games, most of them being sequels and the quality of single player market has been ruined by multi player' easy to make boring games, that have no story. The last reasons this generation
is losing sales is that many people who can not afford to be online, and that when you buy a game for £50-60's, you do not expect to pay an extra 70Gb to download an update and keep having to update once in a while.

In the year that Microsoft launched the 360 I searched for information that showed over 60% of gamers were not online, they could not afford to run a phone and homeline at the same time, also there was no information on wireless mobile pay as you go that
could have let people have temporary access when they could afford it. At the moment I need MiFi and at most I could have 100Gb per month for £40 for landline internet but I am not wasting cash on three service packages, PHONE, MIFI and HOMEBROADBAND. I have
heard recently that only 60% of people are now online, but what type of online service do they have. Microsoft could lose upto 40% of their 360 customer base and the second hand gamers could be wiped out because many of them are on minimum wage.

That is not a good way to do business, good business people know that CHOICE IS THE KEY TO ANY MARKET.

I have to say that this is the worst games computer I have wasted cash on. I might get out my old N64 and WETRIX.
