    Smoking X Box One X


    The other day smoke started coming out of my X Box One X. Fortunately, I was home or a fire could have been started. I unplugged it and the smoking stopped. I waited a few hours and plugged it in again and the smoking started. It will now not power
    on. I am outside of the warranty period, but this seems like a big safety concern that should be addressed without paying $250 to resolve. Ideas? What are my options?

    Just to be safe I would highly recommend taking a torch of sort and going over the air vents to make sure nothing is on the fan or motherboard the may cause a future fire.

    It could be the result of a local power surge in your area, or it could be due to a faulty component inside the console.

    However, if the console is outside of the warranty period, then unfortunately you would need to pay for a repair. The best thing to do if you wish to discuss it with Xbox Support is contact them
