  1. Smartglass Xbox one Question

Using Smartglass on my Ipad and I cannot find a way to push controller button on smartglass.

I have seen pictures where it shows a screen with button on it but I cannot get this to come up in smartglass.

I text chat in a game a bit and use smartglass for it clipboard feature. At the moment I need to keep the controller in one hand while using the tablet for the X, A , B buttons.

*** do I get to the screen with these buttons?

    :)

cant get smart glass to find xbox one

G'day Draco! Just to verify, I need to ask a silly question: Are you currently logged into the Xbox 360 Smartglass app, or the Smartglass for Xbox One app? To follow up, are you logged into the same profile on both the console and Smartglass? And is your
console on a wired connection to your router, or is it wireless?

    Smartglass Xbox one Question

The screen you are thinking of is the "universal remote" screen. I have the Android Version, and there is actually a button to go to the remote - do you not have a button to switch modes? If not, have you just tried swiping from the edges to access the other
    features?

Also, make sure that you are actually "Connected" to the Xbox in Smartglass. I've had that happen before, it's easy to be running the app, but not be connected. You should have an icon that says "Connect" or looks like a little Xbox with a wireless field
above it. This should connect SG to the console and enable the touchscreen navigation and second screen features.

Let me know! If you can post a screenshot of your App it would be very helpful - I don't have any iOS devices, so I can't picture exactly what you're seeing or tell you where to tap, but if I could see it in a screenshot, I could give some better suggestions!

Just to add further to Jaymo's response. The button to switch to 'media remote' should appear at the bottom of the screen when you are on the home screen in the smart glass, but only once you are connected to the console like Jaymo has mentioned Smartglass Xbox one Question :)

  6. Yes, thank you.

I got to the screen but the button do not appear to work.

It says tap or swipe and I have tried both, unless there is something else I am missing.

I don't think you're missing anything, no, but here's what I'm thinking - unless I'm mistaken, the different features of Smartglass only work in certain areas - so, the swiping screen with the colored corner buttons I believe only works on areas like the
dashboard navigation, navigating websites, and maybe a few other areas. Likewise, "second-screen" only works in the games that are programmed to use it.

So, I don't think (unless a game is specifically programmed this way) that the Media Remote feature will work in a game as a type of controller extension, unfortunately. It would actually be really cool if it could - maybe in a future update. But as of now,
since they call it a Media Remote, I'm thinking (for now) that it's only used for navigation or remote control options.

I might suggest adding this as a suggestion to the Xbox User Voice site! If you go to feedback.xbox.com you will be able to search for this and it will show you if anyone has suggested it. If not, you can actually submit it as your own idea (and they have
already added a number of good ideas from that site, so they listen! Smartglass Xbox one Question :) Try searching for something like "Use Smartglass as Controller" or "use Media Remote buttons in Games" for example. Would be a great addition!
