Smartglass Won't Load IOS

I've been using Smartglass in conjunction with my XB1 for year's now and have had no problems, however in the last few weeks it will no longer load and crashes almost instantly after clicking the app (I assume as it attempts to sign in).

I have an iphone 5s with the lastest IOS version (10.2.1) - the phone is NOT jailbroken.

I have hard reset the phone, deleted the app and reinstalled and same problem.

The only thing I can think of is that I recently changed my password for my Xbox account and setup the two step authentication and also now use the Microsoft Authenticator app. I can login fine via desktop and via safari on my iphone but Smartglass is still
crashing.

Is this a known bug? Is there a fix on the way? Please help!

This app needs an update

Are you guys gonna update the Xbox Smartglass 360 app? It won't work with IOS 11

 

Xbox Smartglass (for 360) is flagging for App Compatibility in iOS 10.3 (beta)

The Xbox 360 Smartglass app in iOS 10.3 (currently in beta) is flagging as a 32-bit binary that "will not work with future versions of iOS" if it isn't updated.

Is the Xbox 360 Smartglass app (for ios) slated for an update to 64-bit to maintain long-term compatibility with iOS?

Quick update:

New IOS Version (10.3) and the latest XB1 Smartglass update (released 29th March).

No change, app still crashes on startup.

 

The update should have fixed this and its still not fixed. It is a shame I cannot load my xbox app anymore and I used it so frequently. Almost hourly.

 

Same here. I think the problem startet when the Xbox Live Services (also Outlook and other Microsoft stuff) went down 1 or 2 weeks ago for some hours.

Update: 3rd April XB1 Smartglass patch - no fix, still crashes....

Please give the "team investigating the issue" a kick up the ... !

 

Appreciate your patience and letting us know what you're seeing. The team is still daily working on a fix. Be sure to let us know if you do start to see the app work more consistently after an update.

Our teams are still investigating this!

1. When you say crashing on startup, are you seeing any UI before the app crashes? If so, what screen are you seeing right before it crashes?
   
2. Upon uninstalling and reinstalling the Xbox App, which of the following is happening?
   1. Does it give you an option to sign in, and you can type in your account information before it crashes?
      
   2. Does it go straight to the signing-in screen (a green screen with a spinner on the bottom) as if it knows your account information, and then crashes?
      
   3. Are you not even getting any UX before it crashes?
3. If you are able to sign in before crashing (option (a) in the list above), can you please try creating a new dummy account and sign in using that account to see if it still crashes? We need to determine whether this is a condition specific to your device
   or whether it is specific to your account before we can proceed further.
4. If you are willing to have us share the e-mail address (please do *not* send your email or password) that you normally use to log in with, with the team investigating, we would like to investigate if there is anything unusual about the settings of
   that account.

I am not able to do anything. The App starts and i see the green screen with Xbox symbol. after that it crashes.

So two months and no fix...?

I appreciate teams are working on this etc etc but a little more in the way of a progress report would be appreciated. It's a pretty poor show to take this long to fix an app. - Scorpio or Neo is becoming an easier choice by the day!
