    Smartglass only works on the dashboard


    Ive been trying to use smartglass with my Xbox apps and it never does anything. All it will do is move around on the dashboard. The cursor in Microsoft edge won't show up and Netflix doesn't work at all without an actual controller. I tried my iPod with
    it and its actually better since I can actually use Netflix when I'm on it but the same problem is there with Microsoft edge.

    Is it worth using the hdmi passthrough?

    Yes. The DVR button on Smartglass acts the same as 'media' on my FoxsatHDR remote. I am using Smartglass and in the dashboard preview though. I presume if they have this working for Freesat they will have something similar for $ky.

    The app isn't fixed completely. It took weeks of people like me calling, chatting, and posting for you guys to acknowledge that the app was broken. Yes We can now sign in and launch games from the Smartglass dashboard but the only thing working is the remote
    button. NOTHING ELSE WORKS.

    Only thing you can get close to using the iPad for is the Xbox smartglass app . Using the remote feature but it mostly controls typing in fields for like Internet explorer and its navigation. It controls other apps on the dashboard for movies, music and

    But as far as gameplay it's limited as of now. Most games use smartglass but majority the use is with the controller.

    Also having this problem ever since the new dashboard went live for all.

    Cannot get the virtual keyboard to appear on the xbox w10 app nor the smartglass app (Android).

    Doesn't work for in game text chat, dashboard typing, or messaging.

    Is the smartglass app still available on phones? If so ypu can navigate menus/dashboard with it.
