    Last week everything was fine between my two 360's, Windows Phone 8 Nokia, and my Xbox One. Now the Smartglass app for the 360 will not connect to either console. When I first tried it today on my Nokia, I got an error code 1007 when it tried to sign in,
    so I uninstalled the app, reinstalled, tried again and got an error code 1000. So I did a factory reset on the phone, reinstalled, tried again. This time, it signs in to Xbox Live, and goes to the SG main screen successfully. Even the "Last played" updates
    correctly, but it will not connect to any console. I can see messages, friends online, everything, EXCEPT connecting to the console. Every time it tries, I get a "status code 1012" error.

    So I chat with support, we reinstall everything, hard reset the modem, reinstall the latest patch for the 360, then factory reset the modem, factory reset the 360, then the phone again, all after triple checking that the console it configured to accept Smartglass
    apps. Every single time it throws up a status code 1012. Reset the network name, reset the connection settings to default on the console. Status code 1012.

    So I get the bright idea to download Smartglass on my wife's Android tablet. Status code 1012, main screen connected to Xbox Live. I try it on an old iPhone 4. Status code 1012. Alright, that tears it, time to do something drastic: I dig a different router
    out of the closet (one that has also had no issues with Smartglass in the past, on any console), and try again. Status code 1012. So absolutely literally everything has been tried in every feasible combination. Different Xbox consoles, different routers, different
    phones, all useless. Must be my account right? Prepaid gold membership in good standing (had to double check just for sanity sake). Also tried with my wife's account (after she remembered her password since she had used Xbox a grand total of 10 minutes) and
    guess what? It worked! Just kidding, status code 1012 again.

    Now, the really funny thing is, the Xbox ONE Smartglass app has no issues whatsoever. It fires up on any phone and both routers instantly throwing up no codes, errors, hangs, or glitches. So really at this point, the only conclusion I can draw is...Microsoft
    has ceased functionality for the Xbox 360 and Smartglass. Or maybe it is just me and it is time to seriously reconsider my entertainment and brand imaging options.

    Anyone else going through this?

    Hey, I read you're thread and was curious to see if I had the same trouble as u? So I tried it out on both xbox360 and xbox1 smartglass and they both worked flawlessly, no problems at all. I'm on my Galxy X tab and they start right up..

    So I'm curious as to why yours won't run and u even tried a diffrent router? Thats messed up,,,

    Can it be a Firewall blocking u?

    Just tried it now on my Android tablet and while I don't get any error codes, Smartglass will not detect my 360.

    -

    I checked in my settings to see if Smartglass access was enabled and all is good there.

    -

    Edit: If I launch Smartglass after I sign in then it detects the 360 without issue. However if I start Smartglass and then sign-in the app wont detect the 360 at all when prompted to search for it.

  6. Don't really see how, one of the routers is one of those fancy TP-Link models with pretty easy to set and really reliable DMZ. I am glad it is working for you. I have tried literally every option over the course of eight hours to get this working. And yeah,
    always made sure I was logged in first.

    I am having the same issues with my 360. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (7" model) and a Google Nexus 4. I tried the 360 Smartglass app on both with the exact same results as you, except mine just tried to connect to the console forever, it doesn't give me
    any error codes.

    Both devices sign into Live! just fine and see my profile, gamerscore, friends, etc. etc. via the Smartglass app. Neither one can actually connect to my console, however.

    All devices are on my wi-fi (no cellular data being used) connected via a D-Link wireless router. I have reset the cable modem, router, console, verified accounts (I only have one) and verified that Smartglass is allowed via the system setup on the 360.

    Works fine on my phone even though according to the marketplace it is considered a fossil with windows 7.8.

    I did some more testing last night. I went through all of my router settings to confirm that there wasn't anything preventing wireless devices from seeing each other, made sure UPNP was enabled, etc. etc.

    I had three devices on my wireless network:

    1) Xbox 360

    2) Laptop

    3) Tablet

    I ran an IP Scanner app on my tablet. It could see the IP's of itself, my laptop and the router. Interestingly it could not see the IP of my Xbox 360. Based on that, I tried setting up my Xbox 360 as a WMC Media Extender for my laptop. It could talk to it
    for the initial setup, library building, etc. but would always fail on the last step. The 360's error message was very vague, just saying that it failed to setup WMC and to shut down the 360 and try again.

    I could ping my tablet's IP from my laptop. I could not ping my 360's IP from my laptop.

    I have my 360 configured with a static IP that I have verified is not in use by any other devices. All devices are on the same subnet.

    I ran out of time so will continue trying to troubleshoot tonight.

    I am having the exact same issue. MY windows 8.1 computer and Samsung note 2 are both on wifi. them and console are logged into the account and Smartglass wont connect w console. arrrrg

    I found that the 360 must have ICMP disabled or blocked during normal operation. I was able to ping it only if I ran a ping -t and then ran the network connectivity test on the 360. During a brief phase of this test the ping was successful and reported back.

    I went through my router settings for the 27th time, double checking everything. I disabled the Smart Glass options on my 360, then turned the back on. I removed the Smart Glass app from my tablet and reinstalled it.

    Nothing has worked so far.

    @voteDC.

    I have spent over 4 hours trying to get my Android 360 SmartGlass to find my console.

    I was unable to find any help from the official support pages and after an hour or so trolling through the forum and changing my search criteria I finally found your post and your edit.

    I closed SmartGlass on my phone, made sure that I my console was connected and restarted the SmartGlass App, after initially failing to connect to Xbox Services, the App immediately found and connected to my console.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you.
