Smartglass App connects but remote does not work

    Smartglass App connects but remote does not work


    Hi I have the smart glass app installed on our phones and ipads. I has worked for the longest time but recently we've been unable to use the remote functions for the xbox controller on our phones. The remote for the TV works on the smartglass app, its
    just the remote for the xbox controller that does not work.

    XBox One Smartglass Remote Functionality Inop across Multiple platforms

    XB1 Smartglass app was worked on all my devices (Win8 Phone, Win 8.1, and Nexus 7 Tab), but this morning my remote buttons wont work within Smartglass. Smartglass will launch my apps, and adjust my volume, but none of the emulated remote buttons work i.e
    A, B,X, Y Home, etc. Not sure what has happened. It's connected to my XB1, I can launch apps, see achievements, etc, only the remote doesn't work anymore.

    Any clue as to why this would happen?

    Netflix and Xbox one app controller not working

    This still appears to be a problem, for what it's worth.

    The SmartGlass app on my Surface 4 does not work within Netflix for Select or to Scroll. Other butons within the app's Remote work.

    Voice commands, the standard Xbox controller, and my Xbox One Media remote all work. It's just SmartGlass that doesn't, which is disappointing that this is still an issue over 6mos after this was first reported and summarily ignored.

    How does the Smartglass work as a remote exactly? I can't seem to get it to work in harmony as a keyboard or remote for my Xbox at all :/

    "We couldn't connect to your console. Make sure the console is still on and connected to the same network as this device."

    This used to work to wake the X1 from sleep and now it does not. I can connect fine when the X1 is already on.

    The SmartGlass setting on X1 is still set for allow all connections.

    I am using Win10 X1 SmartGlass app.

    Evil: Put money you would put into an expensive remote into a newer receiver, then there is Apps on both Apple and Droid products that work very well. Then of course Smartglass works OK with X1.
