Smartglass 360 cannot see console after trying different forum ideas

I have perused the forums for a number of ideas and still can't seem to find the solution so thought I would post as a last ditch effort. I am wanting to stream videos from my Samsung Galaxy tablet though my Xbox 360. So it downloaded Smartglass for the
360 but it will not find my console. I am signed in on both (checked the gamertag, points etc to verify), WiFi is connected to the same network and I know I can access through the network with my tablet as I have a printer connected wirelessly that I print
through with the tablet. I am connected Xbox live and watch Netflix regularly through the console.

I then downloaded iMedia and BubbleUPnP and neither of those applications could find the Xbox either. I have disconnected the gateway from the console, unplugged the gateway and plugged it back in, reconnected to the console and nothing.

Anybody have any other ideas?

Closed captioning problem

I am trying to turn on closed captioning on my xbox 360. I was told to go to:

Settings->System->console settings->Display->Closed captioning.



I can see Display but I cannot see closed captioning. I have updated my console but I still cannot see closed captioning.



What can I do? Any ideas?

I have spent over 4 hours trying to get my Android 360 SmartGlass to find my console.

I was unable to find any help from the official support pages and after an hour or so trolling through the forum and changing my search criteria I finally found your post and your edit.

I closed SmartGlass on my phone, made sure that I my console was connected and restarted the SmartGlass App, after initially failing to connect to Xbox Services, the App immediately found and connected to my console.

Hey there Yeroc001,

There isn't a way to stream content firectly from the Xbox 360 Smartglass app to an Xbox 360 console. The best way for you to watch content like that, would be to offload it to a USB thumb drive and plug that into the console for viewing. Or setup a DLNA
Server on your computer and use that to stream to your tablet and Xbox 360 console. This page
