Smart Card pop up when running Xbox (beta) app

And a big nope on the Recovery Assistant. It's unclear to me which category I should select (there is no xbox category) and when prompted to sign in apparently my email address I used to sign into this forum isn't supported. So. Canceled my game pass
account. If there's a fix some time in the future perhaps I'll come back.

I have the same issue. Generally the smart card reader is controlled via windows security. Something about the app is prompting windows security to request credentials. I assume you have some kind of internal system to de-conflict xbox app usage with windows
apps seeing as you're all Microsoft. If not i think that should be a priority especially if this program is going to succeed on PC. None of that "not our side of the house" bs. Get a rep. Put in a ticket. I dont care. Do something. If you cant, ask up. Someone
knows someone else.

Thank you for the continued efforts. I unplugged the smart card reader from my machine and then tried Repair. The app still prompts four times for a smart card. Then I tried Reset; the app still prompts four times for a smart card.

I had left the xbox app on my computer because I'll have access to game pass until halfway through February, but at this point I just uninstalled it. Between Steam and Epic I have two fully baked options for gaming; for me Microsoft isn't bringing anything
to the table except bugs.

Dan, I am really sorry the universal sync did not work. I had only one other suggestion and it would be a shot-in-the-dark (and not the expresso with coffee good kind).

If you haven't already, I was hoping you would go to the App listing under Settings and under Xbox (Beta) choose Advanced Options. From that screen you will see Repair and Reset, to be tried in that order.

Yes there is no option for Xbox sync, but the troubleshooter was updated to include Xbox accounts when run, so the problem seems to lie with the Xbox (Beta) app.

I will keep a copy of your tag and let you know if anything else is uncovered.

I tried the wsreset suggestion to no avail. I'll try your second suggestion next.
