Small screen/terrible quality

So I’ve had my Xbox one s for about 2 years and everything was fine up until today. I play on a tv that supports 4K and everything was great. Then all of a sudden I turn on my Xbox and tv and suddenly my Xbox is stuck in 640x480p resolution with
no other options. The screen is also tiny and doesn’t fit to my 43” tv. I had not been on it all day and nobody touched it. I tried to fix it and I’m about to give up because it makes no sense. It also says that my tv doesn’t support 4K anymore which I know
for sure it does. The only way to partially fix the problem is to manually override the display as HDMI instead of Auto-Detect. The problem with that is that I still cannot play on 4K because it doesn’t allow me to play 4K if it’s not on auto-detect. Please
help me because idk what’s going on and it’s never done this before. Thank you

Have you tried using a different hdmi cable? And have you tried using another tv?

Hi thanks for the reply I forgot to mention that the picture quality for the Home Screen and menus looks terrible as well as playing videos or looking at photos. The picture quality is really terrible as well. Do you think the console is damaged because it’s still running smoothly. I think I’ll try to reset the console as well.

With the Iphone the sound quality would be terrible.

Despite the smaller screen size I would go with the 22inch FULL HD personally. It may be a smaller screen but I have seen MANY small screens provide BEAUTIFUL quality, Plus the FULL HD 1080p guarantees 1080p vs the HD READY which I believe would cap at
720p
