Sluggish Sign In

Since the NXBOE released, profile/Live log in has been very slow. Previously with the Instant On, it would launch almost immediately. Now, it take 45 seconds to 2 minute every time I power off my Xbox One for it to relogin.

Anyone else experience this or fix it?

JFC MS! 2 Steps Back! New dashboard sluggish broken mess!

Most recent preview build is totally sluggish. Getting freezes, glitches, games not starting, instant sign in fails....etc. Everything about dashboard and navigation keeps getting worse with each build. Shoot man, the ps4 dash and os offers smoother experience.
Ugh. Hopeless.

 

Netflix app being slow

My netflix app has been slow to start up, and quite sluggish during usage. Slow to sign in, slow to load, and tedius with playback occasionally (freezing, buffering, app completly stopping). Tried resetting the xbox, Tried port forwarding, and uninstalling
and reinstalling the app.

Have you double checked the power option settings, and made sure you're still set to instant on? Usually the 45 seconds to 2 minutes is the time it would take to boot with power saver enabled.

I tried and already had it set on Instant On power setting.

 

You would either have to perform a hard reset on the console, or they may have been Xbox live issues at that particular moment.

To perform a hard restart, hold the power button for 10 seconds

 

I've tried both and I'm still getting 45+ seconds before it logs in.

 

I'm glad Hydro mentioned that the time to boot up is normal. I've been having long boot up times too

 

Hard reset did not help. If 45 sec + boot up is normal, updates are going in the wrong direction. Things should not slow down with improvements, especially if Xbox wants to call the start up mode "Instant On".

Hydro, any other suggestions?

 

I wonder, if you're getting the spinning blue login screen that stays much longer than it should you may be having the same weird problem I have (forums.xbox.com/.../2086225.aspx).
I appear to get logged in at normal speed but that sign-in screen doesn't disappear for another 30 seconds, BUT it's like it's on top of the home screen because I can hit A and open the last app I had up from before turning it off, as well as navigate to other
apps with the D-pad (I just can't see what I'm doing). Is that true for you too?

 

Quantum - Yes, very similar. I haven't tried clicking around to get the Signing On screen to minimize, will try that today. Mine will sit there with a Black Screen, the "Signing On" circle spinning for a minimum of 45 secs after the primary Xbox loading
screen. Then it jumps to the Home.

 

Yep, that sounds about right. And to be clear - moving around with the D-pad doesn't minimize the loading screen for me, it still stays up but you can hear the clicking sound. And pressing A will open an app, but if I then hit the home button it will just
go back to that loading screen and then at some point decide on its own to flip over to the home screen.

OS glitch perhaps?

 

Quantum - weird tested it out and that is what happens when u select A. Jumped to the app I was in before. Backed out and still had to go thru the signing in screen.

Anyone else having these slow logins?

 

Yes - but mine won't load past the blue circle signing screen.

 

I am also getting this. I changed from instant-on to power save, restarted console, then back to instant-on and it helped for a few days and now I get the spinning sign-on screen for 20 or more seconds before going to home screen
