Firstly how much of your internal storage do you have left available? Usually devices with internal where the main OS is stored slows down over time if your storage is maxed out to it's min left.

You can try transferring your games over to a external device if you haven't already, I only keep apps and small game files on internal storage now.

The first step for any problem relating to slow down or unexpected behavior of games should always be deleting the system cache. You can find a detailed walk-though of how to do that here
