    Slowest warranty return department ever.

Just a warning to anyone who sends their Xbox One in for repair.

I sent mine in via Fed Ex. It took them 4 days to get it. I received a email on the 5th of November stating my replacement has been shipped. Well here we are on the 13th and still nothing. Top it all off the tracking number they provided over a week ago
still does not show up on the Fed Ex tracking site. SO I called support today at lunch, turns out it can take 14 -21 days AFTER you get the email before you see the unit. Not one mention of that part in the email they send.

So if any of you just got a email like that don't get your hopes up. It's still going to take a long time after they contact you.

    :)

best place to buy an xbox ONE? (warranty wise..)

Go with games stop. Great no if or buts warranty and return policy. You pay for what you want. I have never had one issue with the warranty and return for another 360 ever.

    Gamestop Warranty ?

I used to work for GS, this is how it works.

    Warranty is around 40$.
If anything happens to the system within 30 days, you can return it to the store. (Regardless if you buy the warranty or not)

After the first 30 days, your MANUFACTURING WARRANTY KICKS IN, which last's one year. If anything happens to the system within the first year, you return it to MS, NOT GAMESTOP.

After the first year is over, the GameStop Warranty till kick in and will allow you to return the system to any store. No receipt required.

On the upside, you should get a really nice air-packed bag in the box your console ships in.

**Spoiler Alert** It should leave a really snazzy design on the glossy part on the top of the console. :/

Hmm, instead of repairing your console they would send you a "new one". MS puts a $500 charge on your CC but once they receive the dud console they remove the hold. Worked great for me with both my console and Kinect. Maybe they don't offer that option anymore?

That or it's not offered in my area. I'm kind of out in the sticks in a very small town.

That sucks. When I had to have my 360 fixed it took a week round trip. This could be a Fed Ex thing as well. From my experience(I run the shipping dept at my company) their tracking is terrible. I have also had them lose a few packages in last few months.

I feel for you because I don't even know if the 360 could sustain my gaming habits now, I really enjoy being spoilt for choice, like I am right now.

Here's hoping for speedy return from now on!

I had to cash in on my warranty a couple months ago when the disk drive on my Xbox One completely took a crap on me. I opted to use the advanced exchange program. They put a $400 hold on my credit card and sent out a new console immediately.

So it was a total of 4 days from the time I first placed my service request, and when my brand new Xbox One came in the mail. I then put my broken console back in the box the new one came in and sent it back. They released the hold on my credit card a few
days later. Honestly, I was really impressed by the ease and speed of the whole process. Great customer service.

  15. I wish I'd done the exchange program honestly. I was going with the husband and kid to a vacation and figured if I just sent it in for repair with the expedited shipping, I'd have it back by the time we got home and everything would be grand. Honestly, I
thought it'd be harder to do the exchange program since, well, we wouldn't be here.

Well, it's been more than a week since I got my non-existent tracking number and I'm seriously wondering if my xbox has been lost somewhere.

I don't want any "contact us" links or anything. Each time I've contacted somebody, I've just been told to wait a few more days, a few more days... Seriously? What's the point of a tracking number then? What's the point of expedited shipping if it's not
expedited? On top of this, I'm seeing forum threads that imply my Xbox is sitting in some black hole that may or may not be located in Mexico.

Microsoft, if you're listening, I have an enormous piece of advice for you. If you still have the systems, that's great and all...but you're scaring the crap out of your customers who bought that $500 system. Do *NOT* give tracking numbers unless you seriously
are in the process of putting a package in FedEx's hands. Not ONE of us believes Fed Ex has it, for good reason.
