    Slowed cold boot up after update (XBOX One)


    two days ago i installed the elder scrolls online which before installing the console would cold boot in under a minute.

    After i finished installing it was all ok played for a while then tried to open WoT which i was playing just before the installation, however it had become corrupt in doing so if i loaded it up it would crash my xbox sideba r and freeze the screen and mess
    with other systems so i did a couple restarts holding the xbox button then removing the cable from the xbox for 2 minutes

    I have deleted and reinstalled WoT it now plays fine the main problem appeared during this time in which the console at the first sign of the other problems developed a 3-5 minute startup from cold boot which began during the restarts?

    Any suggestions what made this happen or a way to speed it up again?

    I tried not to miss any details

    Blank screen problem

    Known issue. MS is working on a patch. Only solution is to "cold boot" the machine by holding the power button for 5 seconds until it powers down, then boot it back up.

    Just realised that my wireless keyboard is working on xbox one

    Yeah, you have to have the keyboard attached during cold boot. Can't be detected after the system boots, nor after the system Instant On boots.

    Slowed cold boot up after update (XBOX One)

    First I would try a hard reset. Hold the power button down on the front of the console until it shuts off then unplug it from the outlet for a minute then plug back in and try again. If that doesn't work try doing a factory reset. To do this go to settings,
    console and updates then select factory reset. Be sure to keep everything. Don't choose delete. Your console will restart and hopefully be working normally again. Hope this helps!

    Extremely slow update

    Have you tried a power-cycle by turning the Xbox off completely and booting back up. I've had a slow download before with an update and I just restarted and the update started over after I powered back on.

    Resetting video settings with Power+Eject buttons

    I think you did it the wrong way, for slow Resolution Start up your xbox Needs to be Off. And for Reset it Needs to be On.

    • Hard Reset or Cold Boot:
      When your XBOX is ON, press Power Button for ~15 seconds untill complete shut down. Disconnect Xbox for 30 seconds from Power Supply
      This will Fix a lot of Problems and reset some Settings.
    • Slow Resolution Start Up:
      When your Xbox is OFF, press the Power and Eject Button simultan (at same Time).
      That will Start up your XBOX in a slow Resolution Setting.
