Slow Xbox one OS

Felt the same way .. Been on my PS4 a lot more lately and havent looked back maybe when Gears Of War comes back

 

I hate the interface. They deliberately want all their devices to have the same Win 8 look and feel... what's sad is most people hate Win 8! Stop forcing this crap down our throats Microsoft!

 

Don't worry; Win10 is almost upon us.

 

Windows 10, Windows 7 and Xbox 360's UI is more loveable than Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. Sometimes it feels like Xbox 1 has Windows Vista and an Intel Celeron processor inside. Honestly it shouldn't take that long to load friends, messages, and achievements.
Even the Xbox 1 Smart Glass App on my Samsung S5 (and Xbox 360 consoles Dashboard) can load friends faster than the Xbox 1 Dashboard.

 

I'm looking forward to Windows 10, a lot actually. I loved the Xbox 360 interface but you have to remember that the interface for the Xbox 360 went through numerous changes over the years and ended up solid. I don't hate the current Xbox One interface but
it could definitely use some tweaks.

 

Same for me too. Am looking to upgrading to a new PC once Windows 10 is out on PC's expected late this year in retail stores. I admit the Xbox 1 Dashboard is a big improvement compared to what it was like at launch. At launch, it took 45 seconds every time
just to load the friends app or achievements app or messages app. Xbox 360 does it in only 3 seconds. Now it only takes about 2-7 seconds on average. You should also be able to use the Kinect for voice chat in every game. When I was playing COD AW Zombies
yes the new dlc just came out a few days ago, the game was registering my Kinect next to my gamer tag (the mic symbol) If you want to use the Kinect, it should register it. Because Kinect is a substitute for mic and you can use it to voice chat. I've calibrated
it and it's working. I used Kinect to chat with a friend in Minecraft earlier this week, it worked well. When people use Kinect to talk in COD BO2 Zombies, the game registers the Kinect as a mic symbol next to your gamertag.

 

I don't understand how some of you are getting slow speeds from your Xbox One console. Mine runs everything quick enough for me. Games load up quick and I can quickly jump between a game and Internet Explorer extremely quickly - faster than I can do so
on my mid-range gaming PC.

Friends could due with some tweaking with regards to speed, but it's not painfully slow. The Marketplace on the Xbox One is also quick, it's just the look that they need to change.

 

The OS on the Xbox One is in my experience slower than my Xbox 360. Accessing friends on the Xbox 360 mini guide compared to accessing friends on the Xbox Live servers via snap is in fact slower.
