Slow Xbox one OS

I have been a fan of xbox since the beginning and now I'm really not liking the Xbox one because of the OS is so slow and buggy and takes forever to load games and load apps and trying to find things is a huge pain. I just don't understand why they didn't
take the 360 setup and copy that. I think they need to stop with trying to add windows 10 stuff to it or add more crap until they can get the response way up.

I hope the Xbox One OS is fast. My 360 is slow as crap.

You can say that again! The OS is absolutely terrible! It's not only slow but it's flaky and decides to just not work sometimes. I've already swapped my xbox one out with a new one and it's still terrible. Want it even more flaky? Put it in standby
mode. If it's one thing this pile of junk needs it's a full reboot every time.

 

You are not alone with this. I did a comparison video between 360s and 1s OS last year on my youtube channel. Why i like the xbox 360 UI parts 1 and 2. Its like the console has windows vista on it. Everyone knows vista was a horrible OS. when windows 10
rolls out this year they may update the UI. I was in a party with one of my friends shes 10 yesterday how do i get out of this party? Having party issues reported by others ages to load friends messages and achievements. And having to hard reset. Xbox 1s hardware
is capable of multitasking. Dashboard freezes are a result of the software not hardware. Xbox 1s hardware has more potential than software that requires you to reset it.

 

Ughhh Vista. I remember it not recognizing any of my peripherals. That was crazy.

 

I do like the Dashboard but ist soooo slow to open friends or message Information.

 

oh and Skype takes about 2 minutes to answer a call...

 

The One loads games much faster than the 360, not even counting instant game resume feature. Went back to the 360 last week and its was slow and horriblyl clunky. Nostalgia aint what it used to be im afraid.

 

lets see what happens when they start adding the windows 10 core parts, hopefully this may speed things up, but remember that a lot of the things running need a good internet connection to load, i.e pins and friends lists.

 

I agree with Genchy , the loading of games is mega fast .... which is what I want from a GAMES console .

 

loading game is fast when it works but then there is times when is freezes or you hit A to start game from dashboard and it does nothing at all and then you have to unplug the xbox.

 

@real roger, can only speak from my own experience, but I don't seem to have those kind of issues on my console. Certainly never had to reboot the console because of a frozen game load and only had a couple of loading issues and that's the game software
not the console.

 

It's been fine for the most part for me (mostly).

 

mine is only slow if my isp is playing up or im downloading something on pc takes a while to connect
