Slow XBox Downloads since 10 Feb

Since about 10 Feb I have noticed slow network on my Xbox. Call of Duty keeps giving me bad connection icons a lot and Freezes. Also the last 56GB update last week started well at about 73Mbps after about 20min it slowed to 500kbps to 5Mbps eventually took
over 6 hrs to download. I paused and restarted. Power cycled Xbox and Modem etc. Basically I have tried everything and my downloads are still slow averaging about 10Mbps in testing the past week. I have a 100Mbps connection which is stable. All PC downloads
are fast and stable 92Mbps with no slowing on steam and other services. Tested Xbox Speed test in Setup and results are Download Speed 95.08 Upload 16.92 Lat134ms Packet loss 0%. so should be no issues. But Updates and downloads are still averaging 10Mbps.
Anybody got any ideas I have tried everything I can think of, I have worked in IT for 20years so have a good idea of what I am doing. I have sent a message to my ISP to see if they may have throttled anything or blocked ports but I would doubt that but you
never know. I just changed cabling in desperation to no avail. Anybody have any ideas. Don't just reply the logical stuff a advanced user would already have tried as I have spend hours this past week trying things ad nauseam to fix. Again only on Xbox everything
else attached to networks is fast. And yes I have Isolated everything else and just had Xbox on network. I'm starting to think maybe the Xbox network card has crapped out somehow. In testing today I started a install avg 10Mbps paused it and restarted got
50-70Mbps for 5min then back to a avg 10Mbps. As stated this has only happened since a week ago before that basically always had fast downloads.

I noticed your latency is 134? I beleive this to be a little high? You may have a bad wire somewhere in your house that runs to your router, or the wires outside of your house. I had this same exact issue and had to call my isp out to my house.

I really hope they come through with the goods on this one because I honestly cant think of anything else to try...

I should have mentioned that I am using a new router as well in hopes of that solving the problem but so far with no avail.

Clear your alternate MAC address. Press the Xbox button, RB over to system tab, click settings, Network settings, Advanced settings, Alternate MAC address and click clear.. This will restart your Xbox. This always helps me..

I feel your pain.

I have now spent hours with my ISP they even sent me a new router that hasn't changed anything. I have called Xbox Support who are useless and just read a script and basically said send your Xbox in for repair. I told them there was nothing wrong with the
bloody Xbox and if they had any technical knowledge they would understand that. They wouldn't escalate it higher. On the weekend I wrote a letter to Steven Worrall - Managing Director Microsoft Australia hoping something may get sent down the chain and someone
with actual server and technical expertise may look into it. May I suggest you do this also maybe if more people contact him he may do something. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Almost like somebody at Microsoft is just f@#$ing with me flicking a
switch saying no more downloads for you today. I am seriously thinking I will have to get a PS5 if this problem is still present when the new consoles come out. I'm not spending all that money just for it to take a eternity to download a game or update. Especially
how big games with 4K assets will be.

I downloaded PES yesterday at 1:30pm 35GB took just under 1 hour 50-80mbps just how I would expect my connection to work.

At 3:30 downloaded Oxenfree 2.92GB took at least 1 hour 500kbps-5mbps ridiculous no reason for that much of a change.

COD War Zone Update 17GB left overnight when I got up 9.5GB downloaded 500kbps. Changed DNS got rest of update at 40-80mbps. Later this afternoon the new DNS was only 500kbps.

This is doing my head in with how up and down it is. I have seen some weird stuff in my I.T. Career but this has taken the cake.

At least I have now found someone who has the same sort of issue.

Lets hope someone with some sway at Microsoft see this and tries to do something. Best of luck

Quick Update. My Xbox just updated Forza, Elder Scrolls, and Astroneer.

The start of the update took 5-10 minutes to start, I watched it haha.

Then it went 15+ Mbps, which is ok. Took ages for Elder Scrolls 70Gb argh, but at least it got there.

So... slow, but it still works. I still think it is just load balancing by the ISP / node / Microsoft. Maybe a regional thing.

Updates are much lower priority then real time gaming.
