    Sorry for bad English. I have Xbox 360s 250gb hd model. The hard drive died years ago, so it can't be it. And no, the culprit also isnt a USB device, as even if you unplug them the Xbox is going to be slow anyway. And no it isn't rgh modded eighter, it's bone stock. One day I was using the controller with the charger as I didn't have batteries laying around, but the cable was damaged and couldn't give energy, unless wiggled properly. The next day I was playing nfs and the cable was getting worse. It got to a point where it probably shorted and the Xbox crashed hard. I tried to turn off the Xbox and turn it back on, but it had no signs of life, other than the little sound that plays when you press the button (I think it even showed a red ring once, or twice, but I am not sure), until I unplugged the cable. After unplugging it the Xbox turned on, but was and still is slow. After the boot screen it would show a loading circle, then hang for a minute, then show the avatars. When getting out of a game, it would show a loading circle, hang for a minute, then show the dashboard. Same story for apps. When I try to play music from the built in music player in the start menu thing, it would hang, and after a few minutes I would give up on waiting and just quit. It is annoying, can it be fixed, or it needs modding. By the way, games run good and load normally

    New UI as of 10/11/2017 is awful. (Community Tab inparticular, Friends List...)

    My xbox one is in energy saving mode & is way faster than any of my 360's.

    I fired one of my 360's up a few days ago to upload some stuff to the cloud & couldn't believe how slow it was.

    Vanko, by your report the console has several components damaged already.

    I really advise you to take the console in for repair, before it becomes permanently damaged.

    Mainly because of the power issue that occurred with the console, it clearly needs repairs.

    The console has a 4gb hd internally where the operating system is, this is probably one of the possible slowness problems you are encountering.

    Thanks for the advice. I found a way to play music while playing games, but it's still slow, because as you said it's serous hardware issues. I figured that by the time the xbox dies, it just be better off to upgrade to newer one. As for now I guess it works, it been like that since 2019 and probably would work for a few years. Still worried, but can't give it to an authorized repair man, as it won't justify the long driving to the closest one and probably the price, and the unauthorized ones can barely replace a Samsung s3 screen. Still, thanks for the advice

    Xbox 360 S with old AVM Modem/Router and 2,4Ghz G Wlan

    Showed a +-54Mbit Connection and Speed was Ok

    Same Xbox 360 S with ne AVM 7490 Modem/Router and 2,4GHz N Connection

    Showes a +- 5Mbit Connection and Speed was Slow

    AVM couldn`t help

    Micorsoft couldn`t help

    never found an workaround
