1. Slow Xbox 360 Connection

Hi Xbox forums. Today I want to address an issue that has been occurring for quite a while now and I think I need some help. My network connection on my 360 feels really slow, slower than it should be. But on my PC the download speed is fine, it's what I
expected from my internet connection (15 Mbps down 1 Mbps up). On my computer, I get download speeds of around 1.5MBs average (tested on Steam, Uplay, and Origin) but on my Xbox it just feels like 200 KBs, no where near what I pay for. I have tried a bunch
of things to troubleshoot this problem. I have used a different ethernet cable, used wifi, moved it to a different place in my house, reset my internet a bunch of times, etc. My current setup right now is my Xbox and PC connected to a Switch which is then
connected to my internet. And yes, I have tried hooking it up directly to the modem and it didn't work. What could I possibly do? Because this is affecting multiplayer performance as well Slow Xbox 360 Connection :)

    :)

  2. Xbox 360 Slow connection

Alright, I will just try the settings you have said. I will post how my connection is when playing with my friend when I get the chance.

Thanks for the feedback again, that's weird about the Xbox though lol.

  3. Xbox 360 Slow connection

I'm entering info manually into my Xbox 360. Should I use the IP subnet mask and Gateway IP address I get from my ISP?

  6. Seems to me you are playing Halo Reach. Every Halo game on the xbox 360 has really bad lag and there's nothing you can do about it, no matter how good your connection is it's going to lag.

  7. I understand that it lags. It has always done that, even when it came out. But it's not just that game. It's every other game and even downloads from the market place.

Well it would be great if someone could answer my questions instead of just raising more and never coming back. I still have the same questions as 5 days ago.

Ok, so I recently got a DNS error. I'm pretty sure I've got these before. So I'm guessing my router is behind all this?

    Greetings Quail!
It has been going on for as long as I can remember connecting the Xbox to Xbox Live like 5 years ago.)
Have you been using the very same networking equipment throughout the years until now?
I would also like to mention that my connection (for everything) drops every once in a while for just a quick time like 2 or 3 seconds
How often would you say these interruptions occurs?

Have you tried to connect any medium (Xbox, Computer, etc.) directly to your Arris TM402P/110, instead of being NAT'd through your Netgear WNDR3300, to see if the problem persists.
I also checked the speed of my 360 (Wired) on bandwidthplace.com and got: 2.4Mbps download, 2.6 Mbps upload, and 30-40ms for ping
There is no accurate way to speedtest your connectivity, using your Xbox 360. This is made
    by design.
