  1. Slow Upload Speed (Remote Play)

Wondering if someone can help me with my upload speed on the Xbox Series X. I have 1gbs internet in my home and the Xbox is connected to the network via a wired connection to a network switch I have.
I have tested the ports on the switch and get full speed when anything else is plugged in. However when I run the remote play test on the series X I get an error saying I need at least 4.8mb/s upload for it to work. On the xbox I went to speed test in the
browser and I'm getting ~400mb/s upload there. Any ideas on what is limiting the remote play upload speed? I have fiddled around with network settings on both the xbox and the router to see if I can get it. So far; port forwarding the Xbox live port, setting
up a DMZ for the Xbox ip, and trying a different DNS server haven't helped. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Slow Upload speeds

I'd like to know an answer to this question also. Same thing is happening to me.

I have Comcast Extreme 105 down/25 up speed. Getting full 105+ download speed on the Xbox and my PC but only about 3 Mbps upload on the Xbox even though PC speedtest is showing the full 25.

When I try to Twitch stream, it can barely handle broadcasting in SD, even though I clearly have the speed to be able to do full 1080p HD if the Xbox One would allow my full upload speed to work.

Hi there parabolic zen, thanks for reaching out and providing that info.

Let's have you try running through the steps in our
    slow network performance guide
to see if they can be of help.

In addition to that, let's see if we can eliminate any packet loss you're experiencing by following the suggestions on

    this page
under "You have high packet loss". While your packet loss is not high, any packet can contribute to issues over Xbox Live.

Let us know if that helps.

Yes, the speed is absolutely hindering the online play. When streaming live to Mixer we are experiencing poor resolution and blackouts due to slow upload speeds on the Xbox.

Error when I'm use my controller in remote play

Hello IreaL L, My name is David. I am an independent advisor, happy to help you today.

First of all, let's check if the Xbox console is in the list to enable remote play. Check your network connection, Xbox wireless controller connection, and console settings to see if you can control and play Xbox games with the Xbox app on a Windows or mobile device.

    Internet connection
    NAT type:
A green check mark means that the Open NAT criteria are met.
A yellow exclamation point means that the moderate NAT meets the criteria. For an optimal experience and a reliable connection to your console, you want an Open NAT type.
A red X means you have strict NAT. It must be Open or Moderate if you want to connect to the console from outside your home.

The quality of your remote playback experience depends on the upload speed of your network. An upload speed of at least 4.75 Mbps is required, but 9 Mbps or faster is optimal for the best remote gaming experience.

A green check mark means your speed is greater than 9 Mbps and is optimal for remote use.
A yellow exclamation point means your upload speed is at least 4.75 Mbps but less than 9 Mbps. Your network may be too slow for high-quality remote gaming outside your home.
A red X means your network is not fast enough for remote play outside your home. (You may need to contact your Internet Service Provider to increase your upload speed.)
