    Slow startup then it shuts down


    my xbox one suddenly started taking really long to boot up, like more than five minutes on the green screen. and then it goes black, a couple minutes, and then it shuts itself off. it makes very subtle click sounds, if you can call it that, like it's loading.

    I had just used it on a different tv and it was fine, but all of a sudden it just stopped working.I don't know what's going on and I don't want to have to replace it.

    I have held the power button down for 10sec and unplugged it for a few minutes, but its not getting pass the green/black screen.

    Forza Horizon 4 Demo crashing / closing on startup...

    Shut it down completely even from system tray as it opens in background on windows startup. So make sure its off.

    New update crashes game, deleting it makes the game unplayable as well.

    The most recent tomb raider: underworld update makes the game freeze on startup, requiring a hard shut-down of the xbox console.

    If I delete it, then I'm put on the ten-minute limit.

    Sorry to hear it. Can you please try removing all storage devices that you have from the console and try starting it up?

    If it starts without issue then add one storage device and restart. Continue doing this until you run into the problem again. If it happens then the issue is being caused by that storage device and it would need to be replaced.

    If the console has this issue without the storage device attached then the console should be sent in for repair.

    I would imagine the current situation may have greatly slowed or shut down the custom shop

    Xbox One USB Power Questions

    Go to Settings>Power & Startup and check Turn off storage when Xbox is off. That will turn off your external drive when the console is shut down. As for in Instant On mode I don't see my storage device on when the console is shut down.
