Slow installs on everything

Hi all,

Has there been any word on ms on slow install times? I'm experiencing slow installs on games from disc, game updates, system updates and downloaded games/demos. My connection is wired, tested at 16 mbs dl speed. I'm currently on 40 mins and counting to download/install
a 3gb fifa demo. I'm convinced that it's the xbox one and not anything to do with my net connection as I downloaded halo reach full game yesterday on the 360 from games with gold in less time than its taking for this demo to pull itself together.

Apologies if I've missed any official ms word on this but the only thing ive found is to hold the on/off switch down for 10 secs to attempt to resolve from disc installation issues.

I have the same problem too were it won't download past 55% and I have tried all the troubleshooting for the game and downloads. Still doesn't work, and it's been 2 almost 3 days

Yours took only 12 hours? Mine has taken two days, slowed down the internet on all devices in my house like crazy, makes playing multiplayer in any game *** near impossible (including netflix/hulu), and it will not install whne the console is off anymore.
I just wanted to enjoy this game before i shipped out for the army, not for the experience of the game, but now for the fact that I've invested too much *** money into this *** company that releases consoles and games with more bugs than i care to count. This
download will probably take a total of four day because i am only at 53% on the second day. If you just got an xbone and are reading this, i hope you will come to your senses and return it. To the others posted above me, i hope you are enjoying this game.

I have had slow download times before and holding the power button to turn off the Xbox solved my issue. Also, I restarted my Internet router while the Xbox was off. So I suggest doing both just in case.

Hi CMU. Thanks for the reply. I've tried both of those suggestions with no joy. Tried downloads on 360 and XB1 to test out. Excellent dl speeds on the 360, anything but on the One!

Tried everything to slow it down. nothing works. unmodded, fresh install, nothing

I agree everything seem painfully slow. I am however on a highspeed connection. For a bran new system this just seems painfull I hope this is just a first time thing and gets better with time.

Don't forget, the Xbox is an all-in-one entertainment console that does many things at once. It's possible it can get hung up closing apps and will cause the console to slow down. Now, this is purely speculation...and I'm not trying to justify the slowness,
I'm just trying to rationalize the possibility. Anyway, I'm hoping that this gets fixed.

The problem I'm having with my console is as soon as something is downloaded from the queue, there is like 5-10 seconds where my cursor won't move and the interface freezes up.
