    Hi guys

    I purchased a new xbox this morning from game. First thing I noticed was the two mains don't fit well together unless really forced. Also I understand LIVE has been having issues these past 24 hours, is that why it's taking forever to download the
    initial update? It's been updating for over an hour and its only on 44%. i've done a speedtest and I'm getting over 76mbs

    Hey there bakerjn72.

    Sorry to hear about your download speeds. Have you tried resetting your network since this started? Unplug all network hardware for about a minute and then reconnect. If you're still experiencing slow downloads, let us know.

    Slow initial update speeds

    Hi,

    I'm having a problem with download speeds that has started fairly recently. Everything used to be ok but in the last month when downloading updates I get a ridiculously low initial download speed of around 50-100 kbs, it will then go to a normal speed before
    going back to very slow for the last couple of percent.

    I am on a wired connection and no other devices are having a problem. My line support 35Mbs and I usually get around this speed. As far as I know there have been no changes to any settings. My detailed network statistics (it's peak time here so a bit slower
    than normal are

    Download speed 27.89 mbs

    Upload speed: 7.13 mis

    Packet loss: 0%

    MTU: 1480

    Latency : 165ms

    Yet I still get around 100kbs when I start downloading for about 5 minutes which never used to happen.

    Any ideas?

    Sorry to hear about your download speeds. Have you tried resetting your network since this started? Unplug all network hardware for about a minute and then reconnect. If you're still experiencing slow downloads, let us know.

    When I initially plugged in my X1 for the first time it took about 15 mins to load. The first game I installed (DR3 and COD Ghosts) each took about 20 mins to load. Once I had Ghosts installed, I started to install DR3, so no waiting.

    The exact same thing happened to me. However, I bought the game over the Xbox store so when I initially installed it, I had to install all 32gb of it. My apartment has slow internet so it took about two days to complete. Needless to say I'm a -little- upset
    that I have to do it again.

    Same issue here and it only affects Microsoft flight simulator, all other gamepass games have downloaded and installed at the full speed of my internet connection and the initial 10Gb installation was fairly smooth, but I cannot play the game without a 130Gb mandatory update and while it started off slow but workable at 20 Mbps it has slowed to a glacial 2.5 Mbit/s on average and so far has taken over 24hrs to download 72%.. I worry that the installation manager says 1/5 at the top and that if there are 4 more parts to this it might be Easter before I can play.
