Slow downloadspeed when downloading updates, dlc and games. Normal speed with downloading apps

Since a couple of weeks, im having downloadspeeds of 2-5 mbps when downloading dlc, updates and games, while in the detailed networkstatistics it says im having a 50 mbps downloadspeed. Downloading an app gives me the full downloadspeed. A powercycle fixes
it for just a couple of minutes back to 45-50 mbps but then it drops back to 2-5 mbps. Ive already had contact with Support about this issue 2 times, but all they adviced me was a powercycle of the console and manually changing my DNS settings. This seemed
to help at first, but when i shut down and restarted my console, i had the slow downloadspeed again. I already check with Support to see if i had time-outs in my connection to Xbox Live, but that wasnt the problem. Now they say its due to serverproblems in
my area (Europe/The Netherlands), because they are said to be unstable, but most of my friends dont seem to have the same problems and i have never read a message about this issue.

Does any else seem to have the same problem? Im very curious if this is indeed a server related problem or a console related problem?

Xbox Support, please help me with this, because i dont want to powercycle my console everytime i download something, just to get my normal speed back.

Downloading content is slow compared to my connection speed

When downloading any update or anything from Xbox, it is significantly slow compared to my internet connection. By timing the downloading speed on the Halo 4 Spartan ops pack thing, I calculated that it downloaded around 400 kb/s compared to my networking
speed which is 11.8MB/s (aka 94mBit/s). My question is why the Xbox content delivery network is slow. And it is not an issue on my own network. Many of my friends also experience the same slow downloading speed when downloading content. And I must say it kinda
sucks when we are sitting here on high speed internet connections which the services we have paid money for cannot even take full advantage (in my situation, 5% of my capacity) of our Internet connections.

I see you already tried a lot of things. Does the problem occur only when streaming videos from the dashboard or also when using apps (like netflix)? And when downloading games/dlc, do you get around your max downloading speed or not?

edit: I would always try to use a wired connection if possible.

 

Its the Xbox servers they slow down to save bandwidth. MY PS4 does the exact same thing.

 

I dont think that is the problem. I let one of my buddies test his xbox one on my connection and he gets a 90 mbits download speed. Im guessing its the network card thats causing the problem. Im contacting Support for a repair or a swop of my console. But
unfortunately the local Support isnt open during the weekend....
