Slow downloads in stanby? Try this!

If downloads are slow for you while in standby and on wifi, try running hard wired insteqd of wifi. Got my downloads up from 250 mb an hour to 4-5 gb an hour. What it should be.

Sorry to hear about the download speed issues. The troubleshooting you have done is a good start and should help narrow down the problem. If you haven't tried this already, could you please try and restart your router/modem and then re-connect to Xbox LIVE
and try again? Also are you or anyone in your household using any other Internet connected devices at the time? If someone is doing something on the Internet at the time (like downloading or transferring files), it will be using up bandwidth and may impact
on download speeds over Xbox LIVE.

If none of that works, try this. Could you try connecting your Xbox directly to your cable modem and bypass the router? This is just as a test to narrow down where the problem is occurring.

I contacted MS support and am doing an advanced exchange. They told me it was normal when the disc is spinning but when i told them it was on standby they told me to send it back as it does not look like a issue they can resolve by chat. So they are sending
me a replacement ahead of time. I will check the new one when it arrives and let you know if it is still making that sound (assuming if the replacement is doing it also then its a normal thing). But seeing as I only got 1 reply it may not be normal.

I'm thinking it could be the speaker inside since it only does it when the console is actively recieving power on standby. So far I have not noticed performance issues which is a good thing.
