slow downloading of the digital copy

what is wrong with the MS servers?

I was initially downloading this at 7mb/s and now it's stuck at the 700kb/s. At this rate it's going to take 20 hours to download, should have bought a hard copy now that I think about it.

Is there any way to speed this up, and I have checked my connection which is fine when downloading via laptop etc. It's just through the xbox one where it's throttled.

Active Downloads

Hello.

I am downloading a digital copy of a game and it is going to take a while. If I watch Netflix on my xbox while it downloads, does it slow down the download?

 

3GB Ryse Update took almost 12 hours to download

Was that the digital copy of the game or downloading from the disc?

 

It took quite a bit of time to download for me as well on my Xbox One. There are probably a lot of people buying this game digitally if I had to guess.

 

I had this game pre-ordered on Xbox live, was pre downloaded and all, as soon as 12o'clock came it started redownloading the WHOLE thing from scratch so all I can say is well done Microsoft as per usual they cant get a simple thing right, and I think its
worth noting I'm not using the colorful language that comes to mind in describing them but let's just say that grabbing the money and not giving anything about customers comes to mind.

 

I had no problem downloading the game. I just preordered the game day and went to bed the game was downloaded when i woken up. i just preordered the game with enough time to know I not going to get the download done in time.

 

Zig zag I had it completely downloaded the game and was waiting for "launch day" so it should have started playing for me straight away but no Microsoft in their infinite (useful as a chocolate toaster) wisdom have made it so I have to download the whole
thing again and now because of the amount of people trying to download it now its taking ALOT longer to download, at this rate I'm looking at 3 possibly 4 days of redownloading and I'm not exaggerating about the time

 

had to go check to see if mine started to redownload again. i might of downloaded the game at the right time. i have a 300 gb data cap will get charged if i go over. if microsoft made you redownload a game you allready downloaded cause of the game had a
updated version. sounds like people may be paying extra on there internet

 

It's taking forever for everyone, I run 89-100mbps download speed with wired Internet and I'm getting 1% every 25 minutes, started 3 hours ago and only at 29%...

 

Oh and another thing is my friend started the installation the exact same time and he has crappy Internet and he's almost done the install.. And I'm stuck at 30%

 

Managed to get it done at about 1 am, started at 7 PM.

I probably had turned my console on and off about 20 times in that period. I've noticed the download speed drops into the kb/s the moment you use your xbox onto another activity. That being said at 12.45 am I had 85% downloaded, at 12.58 am, I had 98% but
the find 2 percent took 20 mins.

I know this was frustrating for me but I feel sorry for those that had to redownload, that was just taking the effing number 1!

MS needs to sort theses servers out!

 

8 hours in, I'm at 20% at an average bandwidth usage of 0.42 MB/s, when my internet is currently speed testing at 10 MB/s on my computer. Never. PreOrdering. Digital. Again.
