    Slow download time?


    Hi, I wanted to know why Diablo 3 demo was taking very long to download, my download speed is around 7-8mbps or what ever it is. My ping is also around 16ms, but it is taking very long to download, also i left my xbox for 10 minutes and it went down by 10%?
    Why? By the way i also tried background downloading overnight but i dont think it worked? Pls help, thanks

    Slow Downloads

    I'm trying to download a demo for a game with a token but I keep on getting a game marketplace error and now I try to redownload it via Download History it freezes at 20 - 30 percent then few minutes later i get a timed out message. I know it's not my internet
    connection cause I'm on my laptop right next to me.

    Now I'm getting a status Code 80072746

    SLOW DOWNLOADS

    Just bought Mass Effect Game on Demand through XBOX Live. The download is incredibly slow, maybe 1% every few minutes. I know the download is close to 7 gigs, but I downloaded a 2 gig demo just two days ago in a bout 5-10 minutes. I have a cable internet
    connection (8.5Mbps) and the xbox is wired directly to the router. I just watched a netflix movie on the xbox without any problems (as expected the game download paused), so I know the internet connection is fine.

    In terms of trouble shooting, I've canceled and restarted the download. I've also cleared out the memory on my console and cleared the system cache, restarted the console and restarted the download. Still no improvement.

    Is the slow download related to XBOX Live service disruption?

    Ninja,

    Download speeds can be affected by multiple devices connected on your network. If you plan to download a large game or file, try to make sure all other devices are using minimal resources. For example, no Netflix/Pandora on those other devices or anything
    that will use heavy resources.

    Slow download times!

    I put money on my Microsoft account then I bought MX VS ATV REFLEX. I started downloading it took it 30 min to get to 1%. So II went to sleep for about four hours. got up then check my game then it was at 40%. Then I went back to sleep got up to check it.
    My game was off so I thought the download was finish. I went to my games it wasn't there so, I went to active downloads and it wasn't there.

    Ethernet cable then tried wirelessly same result. Slow. When I download on the xbox one the speeds are fast. It too is connected via an Ethernet cable.

    How are you connected? Wireless or ethernet? If you are wireless try connecting with an ethernet cable for the duration of the download. You should also contact your ISP to check and see if there's a possible bottleneck on your service.

    A speed test for the net usually defaults to the nearest ping location. You should make sure it tests from a further distance.
