Slow download speeds?

Just bought the Xbox one S. I have internet speed of 150mbps download. Xbox is hardwired and advanced settings

show a download speed of 120mbps yet games are barley getting 7mbps. Why is this happening? How can it be that slow ?

Just bought Mass Effect Game on Demand through XBOX Live. The download is incredibly slow, maybe 1% every few minutes. I know the download is close to 7 gigs, but I downloaded a 2 gig demo just two days ago in a bout 5-10 minutes. I have a cable internet
connection (8.5Mbps) and the xbox is wired directly to the router. I just watched a netflix movie on the xbox without any problems (as expected the game download paused), so I know the internet connection is fine.

In terms of trouble shooting, I've canceled and restarted the download. I've also cleared out the memory on my console and cleared the system cache, restarted the console and restarted the download. Still no improvement.

Is the slow download related to XBOX Live service disruption?

Are you using WiFi connection or wired connection to connect to Xbox Live?

Basically your download speed depends on your internet download speed.

It your internet is not a High Speed Internet service, it may take some time to finish your download. If you have a High Speed Internet, try using wired connection.

 

I'm having the same issue. I posted about it in another thread and my own. Mine is with the original black Xbox not the S. Even bought a brand new console and new cable modem. Microsoft won't acknowledge there is an issue. I speed test at 60mb down and lucky
to get 1mb down when trying to download a game. None of my other friends are having the issue though and it doesn't seem to be widespread. It's driving me crazy as my PS4, 360, and PS3 are all fine.

 

There must be a problem with the Xbox Live service that they aren't acknowledging. My downloads have been dragging too.

 

I agree although what's strang is it's not even just slow. It's like dial up speeds. Also I have friends with the same ISP that aren't encountering the issue. I don't understand why it's only affecting certain people and/or consoles either. I have a feeling
it started with the August 5th update, but I wouldn't think a brand new console would have had that update on it to begin with. When I hooked it up it took almost 2 hours to download the 1gb update during initial startup. Meanwhile my PS4 all hooked up through
the same equipment downloaded 12gb in 20min.

 

Any update on this issue? I've checked with my ISP and nobody has been able to provide an answer. It keeps looking like a server issue on MS's end but they won't acknowledge it.

 

Cardiack - After countless calls and chats with microsoft it appears they finally resolved their server side issue as my speeds are back to normal. Check yours

 

My speeds were back to normal but I still bog down to 11 mbps or even 10 haven't seen it bog down to 1 or 3 like I used to see.

 

Has anyone resolved this yet? I have a hardwired 150/150 connection and my speed test confirms this. However my xbox one downloads new games and updates at a measly 11mbps. I have done everything that the support site said to do and I even wasted an hour
of my life with Microsoft Chat support. They followed the same online script and refused to acknowledge there was a problem. This is unacceptable considering they charge to use their online service!!

 

yep mines the same it really needs sorting out the issue is still ongoing nothing has been resolved ive been like this for 8 months or longer
