Clear and reset Store cache in Windows

Step 1: Close Windows Store app if it’s running.

Step 2: In the Start menu search box, type WSReset (Windows Store Reset) to see Wsreset in the search results.

Step 3: Right-click on WSReset and then click Run as administrator option.

Step 4: restart Pc and Modem/router

After that you need to cancel and restart the download

You can also try to change your PC DNS

Sometimes the speed download will depend also on the server load, if many users are using the same server or downloading the same file ( happens often with updates) you won't get full speed

Thank you for the reply. I went through the list and nothing there changes anything. Still seeing roughly the same speeds as mentioned originally. Xbox is consistently 5-6 times slower than desktop speeds.

A main factor in the speed along with slower internet speeds is the size of the update.

I have been using xfinity's speed test with Nashville, TN as the host server for both tests. On my desktop I can consistently see Downloads/~900 Mbps and Uploads/35 Mbps, however when using Edge on the Xbox, also using wired connection and the exact same
test with the same server for the host, I will see consistent speeds no more than Download/175 Mbps. The upload speed is roughly the same for the Xbox or Desktop test most times.

This is speculation based off my personal experience, but I assume Edge on the Xbox is running in a sandboxed environment, and as a "background app" doesn't get as much system resources than the browser on your PC is getting. Background apps on the Xbox
(i.e. apps that could formerly be "snapped" to the side of the screen and run along the main game being displayed) only get one processor core and a limited amount of memory assigned, to guarantee consistent performance for the main game application.

While I also get less than optimal speeds when I speed test through Edge, my Marketplace downloads are consistent with my internet speed (granted, I "only" have 100Mbit, and due to the distance from the DSLAM I "only" get 70-80Mbit download speed).

So are the actual marketplace downloads when you download a game or an app equally slow?
