Slow download speeds on PC from Microsoft store

I am trying to download a game from the Microsoft store on my PC but the download speeds very from >1 mb/s to 10 mb/s

I also downloaded speed test from the Microsoft store which is showing results of 120 + mb/s download and 20 mb/s upload

I am hard wired in and there are no other devices on my network.

Any ideas why there's such a huge download speed discrepancy and how to resolve?

This did not help infact they are no longer downloading at all now.

It's like they are also stuck and it doesn't even allow me to uninstall them.

Every time I click to refresh it does nothing. Every time I click to uninstall it just disappears and reappears.

I also did download other items from the windows store just to test speed. Absolutely no difference.

Do not recommend following these instructions as now I can't even download the game slowly.

1. Right-click on the Windows icon.

2. Select Command Prompt (Admin).

3. In the User Account Control pop-up window, confirm your choice.

4. In the new window, enter the following commands, pressing Enter after each:

ipconfig/flushdns

ipconfig/registerdns

ipconfig/release

ipconfig/renew

netsh winsock reset

Clear store cache

Windows key + r and type ''wsreset'' wait for the black screen to close and open the store, it takes a while.

Restart your PC and then try to install the games again.

Click on ''see details'' should present an error code for you, send me that code. Can you download other games/apps normally?

Third-party programs and services can disrupt the store, I saw another case that an antispy was preventing the user from downloading anything. Try disabling these types of programs and even your antivirus.

Then perform a clean boot and try again.

On the Desktop, press the Windows + R keys simultaneously to open Run;

In Run type MSCONFIG and click OK to open System Configuration;

On the Services tab, check ''Hide all Microsoft services'' and click Disable All;

Click Apply and OK;

Restart the computer and try again.

If the problem persists, perform an in-place upgrade. This link has the instructions you need.

If you get a chance try downloading something from the store and see if your speeds are ridiculously slow.

Hi Guys

As I was reading through the links and threads the speed jumped up to max , I think they call it Information Technology !! sometimes just talking about things helps ! go figure !
