Slow Download Speeds and Syncing Game Data Fails

Hi wonder if you can help. starting to annoy me now.

Since Last Wednesday I have been having lots of issues with downloading games.

My download speed only ever goes up to 5Mbit/s when I have a 40Mb connection

I started with contacting my ISP and even after we found no issues and was downloading files at 38Mbit/s on all devices in my house I knew I didn't have a problem.

but I still bought a new router just to make sure..

New router arrived, and still exactly the same, so I decided to do a full factory default of my XBOX one. which at first seem to help a little, went from 5Mbit/s to 12Mbit/s

but my new problem is that I cannot sync any game data on my games now, it just keeps failing.

The only way around it is connecting to my Phones 4G connection and download the game data doing that, which I don't want to do cause it charges.

Please can you help

Elder Scrolls Online 39 GB patch

Yeah with an online game it's not on MS, the game requires the update to sync to server, without it there would be issues.

Such a drag you guys have data caps or slow speeds.

Syncing Data is horribly slow and then fails

I am having trouble Syncing Data (saved games). It is horribly slow (10-15 minutes) before it fails with message "We could not sync your data. Please try later or play offline ()" The error code is blank.

There are no network issues, 40Mbps down, 5Mbps up. Network tests are passing with flying colors. I can download game updates with full speed. It's just Syncing Data that is failing.

I have chatted with support twice, and the only resort they can offer now is to to a full system restore, which will require days of re-downloading and re-installing games.

Any other advice before I try this last option, and then initiate a hardware service request - for something that seems a network problem? There are zero other issues with my DSL connection, so it seems Microsoft servers are unable to deliver my account's
cloud saves.

Here's a good one on the slow speed etc...short story had to do a case swap to save 2.5tb of d/l games and saves...lost most of the saves...but I just finished saving fallout 4s data...I think...not sure yet...I launched the game at 10:50pm...it's doing
a "sync"...time is 12:33am and the sync is at 76%...that slowness...is that from microsoft or my isp?...

cleared*. Is it the USB drive that's failing or maybe my download speed. My download speed on my computer is 21 mb/s but does that translate over to my xbox? Cause the download is going fairly slow.

What's the exact issue when you try and download that content? Are you getting an error message, or is it failing to complete? The download speed you listed is very slow.

Also be aware, that if you are playing an online game, or streaming a video, the Xbox automatically throttles the download in the background to give you more bandwidth for your actual game you're playing or video you're watching.

Additionally, sometimes the console verifies parts of the download and unpacks them, and depending on what else your hard drive is doing, that verification and unpacking can take some time, during which the console is not actually downloading from the net,
"confusing" the download speed indicator, as nothing is downloading currently, and it shows "slower" download speeds, as there is no new data incoming.

Is that slow download speed specific to CoD or are other downloads also slow?
