    Slow download speed


    I have a 600mbps download speed that’s hardwired into my Xbox one. I close all apps and games prior to starting a download and will check my network speed in setting which shows my Xbox download speed is between 550-650mbps on average.

    When I start to download a game or an update, I go to the installing queue to check the progress and it will initially show about a 100mbps download speed, then drop to 50, then to 30, then 20, then to a crawl between 8-15 mbps with intermittent spurts back up into the 60s before plunging back to a crawl.

    Why is my download speed so slow when my Xbox network speed shows it’s has 600mbps download speed capabilities?
