slow download on xbox one

Hey guys. I have recently acquired a fast internet connection at my home as apart of the NBN network 100mbps up and 40 down. I have connected my xbox and on both a wired and wireless connection i am getting speeds of less then 10mbps making online games
lag and literally unplayable. i have tried changing my dns settings to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and this had made no difference like some people have said it would. i am growing frustrated as i have this super fast connection which i cant use for my gaming. i have
to revert to my hotspot on my phone to play without lag.

Does ANYONE know how i can fix this or what may be the problem????? any help would be greatly appreaciated.

Sorry to hear that you're having issues. Does this slowdown happen with particular games or all of them? Have you already power cycled your Xbox One? We also highly recommend that
you go through the Xbox One Slow Performance troubleshooter guide if you haven't already.

Hey there!

We were aware of an issue concerning slow download speeds occurring last week. Changing your DNS will only affect the speeds you're getting from your ISP and won't affect what speeds you get while downloading/connecting to Xbox Live. The slow download speed
issue should be slowly resolving over time and your connection speeds should be increasing as the problem resolves itself.

Have you tried checking your speeds lately?
