Slow connection speeds

I recently upgraded my broadband to fttp 100mb. My console is connected directly to the router and have opened and forwarded all ports suggested to the console up address.

When I check the speed of line on laptop on that cable it shows a connection speed of about 97 up and down. But when I connect Xbox one and check it struggles to get 16 down and 27 up. When it actually comes to downloading updates or games I struggle to
get 5/6 down.

I really can't work out why my Xbox one is not getting speeds that are available and also other devices tested on that cable are getting.

Any thoughts or advice would be great as searched forums web sites and nothing really obvious to what I have not already done.

Slow connection

Hi,

My download speed on XBL is really slow causing lag and well slow download speed. It's fine on PC. It's been like this for days.

And sometimes I can't even sign in from slow connection speed. (It's Ethernet connection)

 

NFS connecting to EA servers?

Thats true, but it seems weird that the screen took an extended period of time, perhaps your internet connection is just slow, maybe not slow in general but EA recommends a minimum connection speed and perhaps your connection is below that speed

I would test the connection on your Xbox directly connected to the modem, bypass any routers/switches. Also these speed tests are done from Xbox LIVE servers, which means there is millions of connections at all times plus the connection speeds are only
estimates. Speeds could vary depending of the time of day. True speeds are done from speed tests provided by your ISP or sites like speedtest(dot)net. I currently have 300Mbps down and 100Mbps upload, my console may show 150Mbps down and 90Mbps upload.
