    Slow connection, packet loss......

What's wrong with the connection of late, one minute it's fine, the next slower than a 70 year old crossing the street!

Ive had speeds ranging from 35 to 13 mbs, all on a high speed network, on the same day.

    anyone have any ideas?

box is LAN connected, reboots on router and xbox make little difference and I me getting hacked off.

    :)

Hi there parabolic zen, thanks for reaching out and providing that info.

Let's have you try running through the steps in our
    slow network performance guide
to see if they can be of help.

In addition to that, let's see if we can eliminate any packet loss you're experiencing by following the suggestions on

    this page
under "You have high packet loss". While your packet loss is not high, any packet can contribute to issues over Xbox Live.

Let us know if that helps.

    100% Packet Loss

Same issue. 100% Packet loss. No packet loss from my PC. Wireless connection via my Xbox one. Has been working fine just 10 hours ago. Tried it today: 100% packet loss.

    Slow connection, packet loss......

I would contact your ISP and ask them what's going on there end how much packet loss are you getting ?

have you tried to ping any servers to to see response time ? try pinging google see if you get any packet loss.

if using a windows PC just click run then type cmd then enter

on the black screen just type

    ping google.com

or what ever site you want to test

for list of ping commands type ping /?

  5. Sounds like a ISP /Localised area issue there... Hopefully it isn't doing it 2 days later :s

    Which ISP do you have?

Also if it is LAN connected it cant be a WiFi issue Slow connection, packet loss...... :D (Wired FTW when the internet isn't playing up)

Extremely high Ping on Xbox Series S

    HI there,

thanks for your reply. The slow ping I refer to is from the Xbox’s Network Statistics test. This is prompted by my trying to set up remote play/access which is ‘not allowed’ as my Latency is too slow.

At your suggestion I connected the xbox to my cell’s 4G. The ping leapt up to ~300ms and ~600ms on the two tests I did, but the packet loss fell to 0%.

FWIW, I have tried connecting only the xbox to the network, and I still get the same results - 150-160ms ping and 100% packet loss.

Yea, I'm getting 100% packet loss. Test internet connection says connected to internet and everything is good. Test MP connection says can't finish multiplier test. The advanced test says 100% packet loss. Surely not my network. Tried hard wired, wireless
and the hotspot from my phone. All internet test via xbox work, but MP fails.. This is getting old.. Idc what the "service status says" they're always slow updating that.
