Sling TV is out

I keep getting errors: The first errors said it couldn't accept my email. Entered two different email addresses. Second and current error- A problem has occurred during player initialization (3-1). Uninstalled 4 times, rebooted xbox 3 times. Second day
of this problem. No solutions online and customer support says talk to Sling but they closed when the website says it should be open. Lame, lame, lame!

 

I'm having the same problem Airsick. I was really interested in this because ESPN is about the only channel I miss since cutting the cord, but this is making me doubt the service would be worth it.

 

Well, it's working for me, so some of it seems to be working...

 

i have tried several times yesterday to sign up. spoke to both Microsoft and Sling. i was told by Sling that they had to remove my info and for my to try again today. removed the app and tried today and still nothing. called Sling again and they stated
for me to wait for later today. if this doesnt work by tomorrow, i will just write this off. doesnt make sense to have to keep to sign up for this.

 

Several uninstalls and reinstalls and nothing. Same error.

 

Xbox Support responded to me on Twitter. They told me to contact Sling Support.

What gives?

I also have gotten all the errors you guys have gotten. I called sling and went through the uninstall/reinstall process then they abruptly said that they are aware of the problem and are working on it. having to go through the setup on the xbox is a pain.
I need a keyboard.

 

I had posted in a similar thread on this site but yes, I too am having the problem (Error Code 3-1) I had already put my credit card info so I hope I'm not signed up and my free trial is activated. That would suck.

 

Error code 3-1 is all I get , what a mess. It better not have started the free trial yet.

 

Wonder why it's working for some and not others. I haven't had any error messages, since the initial install. I'm telling you, if they add A&E, I'm dropping my cable service. In my opinion, it's one of the best the apps XO has.

 

I had the same problem until I called Sling. They finalized my account, and now Sling works perfectly fine for me.

 

@BizzaroMantis, think the contents of the packages vary, by area (e.g. A&E isn't in mine).

 

Did any of you guys pick up an additional package? I, for example, also picked up the movie package. Maybe that has something to do with it? No additional package = doesn't work, maybe?
