Horrible, you sound like the cable company, starting at one price saying one thing yet it turns out to be something completely different which Xbox forgot to mention.

Figures...everything is a scam nowadays.

 

So do you have to pay upfront for the service and then your next month is free? I went through the process of downloading the app and entering all my credit card info, but what had me concerned was the last page said that my card would be charged. I was
not sure if this would be like a free trial of netflix where you only pay after the free period ends. I do not want to click continue if my card is going to be charged. Does anyone know for sure if that is the case?

 

As far as I'm concerned it IS the cable company - the only difference is that it's streamed online instead of over the air. You STILL have to buy pre-packaged options with no a'la carte choices.

 

Same situation I thought it was free but the last page said my card will be charged I wanted to see what the fuss was about now its not worth it that's not a free trial

 

I can't be 100% certain, but I think you'll be charged AFTER the free trial ends, so as long as you cancel before then, which they state how to do during the sign-up process, you should be fine. It's what I'm going to do if the app doesn't live up to expectations
(so far, it's kind of 50/50 for me).

 

You will only be charged if you do not cancel after the free trial ends. So if you signed up on the 17th and cancel on the 16th of next month, you will NOT get charged. Very normal practice when offering a free trial.

 

Honestly, it says "1 month FREE" not "First month FREE."

 

The app is not working anyway...was so looking forword to this app. I hope they get it working soon!

 

Your first month is free, The wording and signup process is horrible and misleading. AFTER you signup for the trial you'll actually get a page that clearly explains that you will not be charged if you cancel before your trial is up. While I had problems
when I first installed the APP(8pm est) I was able to use it around 11p.m. est on the 17th. I was not impressed, so happy for the free trial saves me money!
