Sling App Not Accepting American Express as Form of Payment

Even though the app features AMEX as a selectable form of payment, when you enter your AMEX card number, it reads it as an invalid card.

The problem arises, because:

1. all AMEX card numbers are only 15 digits in length
2. the AMEX security code is 4-digits in length size

The Sling app itself, only recognizes cards numbers that are

1. that are 16-digits in length
2. and only recognizes security codes that are only three digits

Thus making impossible for Gold members who pay with AMEX, to use their favorite method of pay

Unable to purchase Microsoft Points

Tried from both my console and the website. Both give me:

Your payment instrument could not be authorized. Please contact your provider, or try a different payment option.

I'm located in the US as is my console. I've tried every method of payment I have (Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, American Express) and they all result in this message.

 

Amex Issues

I've been having issues adding my American Express as a payment option.

Amex is available in the drop-down list, but every time I add my info, I get a message in red below the credit card number field, telling me its not a valid number.

It's an American Express Corporate Card.

It has 15 digits on the front, but an additional 3 digits on the back (total of 18).

I've tried both combinations, and it always tells me it's wrong.

Has anyone else had a similar issue?

 

Don,t matter sling is not working anyways. It woukd be nice if it did!

 

Sure would be nice to get some info/support on if and when this new app will actually work.

 

I've been trying to sign up for sling for the past 2 days... It's impossible. Called microsoft customer care and the poor guy told me he wasn't familiar with this app.

Same here. Ive been trying to sign up all day. This is post patch. I got all the way down to the CC entry, and after I filled everything out, I got an error, and now every time I open the app it says "failed to initialize player, please try again later".
Or something to that effect, then when I go to sign up, I'm able to enter my email, and password, but when I hit next, the same error appears.

It would be nice to get this thing up and running so I can try it out, since the new Uverse App won't let me watch the Live TV service that I pay for while I'm at my dads. It works on mobile, but not on the new Xbox One Uverse app.

reach out to Sling TV themselves. They will be the ones to help out with any account issues and look into why the card input won't let you put AMEX in there.

Who are the morons who made this app?

Okay, so they go back in and fix the problems I detailed in my earlier post. But get this. In the final steps where you are entering your credit card information, under expiry date, they
left out the month
FEBRUARY, and included the month MARCH
twice.

LMFAO rookies.

Needless to say, I still cannot get SlingTV to work on my Xbox One, much less take advantage of the one month trial.
