Slim internal hard drive not working

I have a wbox 360 4gb hard drive.

I have purchased a 320gb internal slim hard disk drive but the machine

won't recognize it. Any help? Thanks.

XBOX Star Wars Edition Internal Storage problem

Positive. As far as the Slims are concerned, if it comes with a hard drive, it does not come with an internal flash drive. The only units which come with an internal flash drive are the 4GB (shows as 3.3GB when formatted). No other units will have them.
You can add a hard drive to the 4GB slims and have access to both the internal falsh drive and the hard drive, but you can't add internal flash memory to any of the hard drive units without breaking warranty.

 

Internal / External Hard Drives

The internal 4gb hard drive is not working properly. If i get an external hard drive, would that bypass the internal hard drive and work properly, or would i still need to have the internal hard drive repaired

 

Where did you purchase the hard drive from? If it was from an online retailer such as Ebay/Amazon/etc then the drive may not be official. 3rd party drives are not officially supported by Xbox and are not covered under the warranty.

If you purchased it from a local game retailer then you should try returning it for an exchange.
