Sleeping Dogs HD

Just seen that a few sites have put up Sleeping Dogs HD for Xbox One/PS4. Seems it will be announced soon. Dunno how to feel. I enjoyed Sleeping Dogs a lot and then sold it on later, so when it eventually goes down in price I could see myself tempted to
pick it up again.

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition

Could Sleeping Dogs be coming too? I absolutely loved this on 360 so id be happy. Not sure we need it though with both Watch Dogs and GTA V on the way.

Really enjoyed it on 360, but feel the same about a One release.

 

How about some new games and not just slightly shinier versions of games we played months/years ago!!

No wonder they didn't implement backward compatibility for the next generation consoles, they will just re release games and suckers will buy them.

Spend time making new games for goodness.

 

Backwards compatability isn't quite so easy as just writing 'BC = "true";, it's pretty darn involved. Modern games have budgets approximately equal to the GDP of a small country these days, so imo this kind of thing is perfectly harmless if it offsets the
huge cost of next gen game development.

 

Sleeping Dogs HD? Pretty sure I already played the HD version, they can keep this HD version.

 

Awesome game. Guns could be better and the map could be bigger but overall its a fantastic game. I enjoy doing favours to get money lol

 

I haven't played this game via the Games with Gold program yet so I will just stick to that and save myself some pennies lol.

 

Sleeping Dogs was fantastic but doesn't warrant an XB1 upgrade!

 

As much as I enjoyed Sleeping Dogs and its DLC, a HD version doesn't really seem worth it. I'll rent it

People are way too cynical about these re-releases, they're nothing new. Every gen has had them. They do nothing to detract from the resources spent on making new games, in fact they probably contribute to them. So how does it affect anyone?

Another thing of note is that United Front Games handled the Definitive Edition of Tomb Raider, so I would expect lots of new art assets for Sleeping Dogs HD HD when it comes out. It's not going to be a lazy upscale to 1080p with medium PC settings.

 

Please god no. No more remakes of the same game ffs.
