    Skyrim won't launch offline on Xbox One


    So I recently downloaded Skyrim Special edition off of game pass and when im offline the game wont launch, and i cant figure out why, as my Xbox is set as my home console. But i only have this issue with Skyrim, as i can play other game pass titles offline on my console, does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

    Your advice sucked. I followed it & lost everything. Thanks a lot.
    I followed it also, to the letter, and I didn’t lose anything, I just had to reconnect my Xbox to my Wi-Fi and re-write the 2 Profiles I have on the thing, 1 for me and 1 for my partner. Skyrim is currently synching data from another Xbox I’ve been playing on recently while away from home. It’s at 32% so I’m confident that it will launch when it gets to 100%, so I had to come back here and reply to your post since, beforehand, when I first read this page I gave you a “Helpful +” as I thought you had debunked bad advice.

    Now I realise that you must not have followed the advice to the letter and not selected “Keep my games & apps”. That is the only way you could have lost anything, let alone everything.

    TL;DR You suck!

    Have the same issue. MS customer support is no help, as usual.

    Aside from them being uninformed, their customer service over the phone is atrocious. No one knows what they’re doing and no one takes notes.

    Please first try to usi it with a different account, if this doesn't work try connecting the console trough a mobile hotspot and run the game that way, if anything works

    Try to restore keeping games and apps, please be sure that you know your account email and password:

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

    On the Reset your console screen, you'll see three option use this one, be sure you remember the email and password of you're accounts:

    Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with Reset and keep my games & apps
