Discus and support Skyrim special edition in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I have gotten pretty far in some of the story.     I have gotten pretty far in some of the story. But after the recent update in Skyrim special edition I load my save game and it crashes or logs me right out the game. At first it would freeze but now it goes back to the home screen or freezes and then it
    goes to the home screen. What did they do to my game? I should not have to create a new game. If I do than then this is bogus.

    Do I need a new TV? (Skyrim Special Edition and new Xbox One S

    With the announcement of Skyrim special edition, this made me suddenly become obsessed with FINALLY upgrading to a 4k technology TV, and/OR getting an Xbox One S, so that I can experience the Special Edition to the fullest, but... Is it necessary?
    I currently own a 55" Samsung 1080p HDTV and have just been enjoying my Xbox Day One edition, and games, on it. Skyrim special edition, Xbox One S, and project Scorpio are all in the works. As a strictly console player, where does everybody suggest I take
    steps towards upgrading?

    1.) Will Skyrim Special Edition look just as nice on a NON 4k TV (standard 1080p HDTV)?

    2.) Would the HDR capabilities of the new Xbox One S impact the visuals of Skyrim Special Edition, thus, making it a good idea to buy and Xbox One S, for this experience?

    3.) If I bought an Xbox One S mainly for the best possible visuals for Skyrim Special Edition.... Do I have to be using a 4k TV to see the HDR?

    Hello!

    That's an interesting thought. I'm surprised they don't have a vanilla option when starting the game. I would be skeptical if they would do it, but at this point reaching out to the developer would probably be the only way to see that eventually happen.

    Hi there!

    Thank you for coming to the forums today, I'd be happy to help!

    On the Xbox One X you can manually manage a game's add-ons by pressing the Menu button while hovering over Skyrim in your games section. Then select "Manage games and add-ons" from the menu and in the next screen you should see the DLC on the left side under
    the "Installed" area. You should be able to uninstall the ones you don't want to play and then install them later once you do want to play them from the same section.

    Try that out and let us know if that helps!

    It comes with the DLC so unless you buy a different version, there's no way to not load the DLC with the game. Sorry!

    I am afraid you cannot. The special edition comes with the DLC pre installed and ready. You can choose not to do those quests at the start of the game however
