    Skyrim Legendary Edition Disc 1 Won't Play


    I bought Skyrim Legendary Edition today after playing many hours of the original game. I was able to insert Disc 2 and download/install all the DLC with no problem. However, when I put in Disc 1 it just says "Reading" and won't launch the game. I've deleted and
    re-downloaded all the DLC, cleared my cache, and cleaned the Disc of multiple times but I am still unable to launch the game or even get my Xbox 360 to read Disc 1. I am able to play other games just fine and I have plenty of free space on my hard drive.

    I bought the game pre-owned but it is "Certified" by GameStop, whatever that means. Is this just a bad Disc or is there more troubleshooting I can do?

    Can I Install Skyrim Legendary Edition over Skyrim base downloaded from Xbox Live?

    Hi Everyone,

    I saw this questions was being asked with regards to upgrading Skyrim installed from Disc to Legendary (it's possible).

    But I have bought Skyrim on Xbox live and only have digital download version.

    Now I have an opportunity to buy a new Skyrim Legendary Edition disc version cheaper than downloading the three DLCs.

    Will Legendary Edition "detect" my current Skyrim install and allow me to keep my saves?

    And if it doesn't and it installs a completely separate game on X360, is there a way to copy / migrate my save game to the Legendary Edition game?

    Im having the same issue with my fallout goty and fallout new vegas ultimate editon where it'll read the disk but not show up or install from any of the 360 discs but plays my x1 game discs fine

    To check, are there any scratches or cracks on the disc? If it's pre-owned there's a possibility for that which may be preventing it from being read properly. Let us know Skyrim Legendary Edition Disc 1 Won't Play :)

    How are you?

    Did you install Legendary Edition content by following these steps?

    To install the Skyrim Legendary Edition on the Xbox 360:

    1. Insert the second disc into your Xbox 360 Xbox and follow the prompts.

    2. The disc will first ask if you would like to update the game (to version 1.9). You must accept this update or the installer will exit.

    3. After the update has been installed, you will be presented with a selection screen where you may select/deselect any combination of the three Skyrim DLCs - Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn.

    4. After making your selections, the installer will copy the add-on content to your Xbox 360 hard drive.

    5. After installation is completed, you may play the Legendary Edition by removing the add-on disc and inserting disc one.
