Skyrim language lock

So, I bought Skyrim from Kinguin which was region locked to europe. I live in Finland, so I didn't see that as a problem, but when I downloaded the game and played it, the game was locked in French. I've tried changing my region to America and looking through
the settings.

So my initial question is, can you change the game's language and if not, can I do anything about it at all?

Xbox one in belguim has a lot of language issues

Hi AntiPeacemaker there is a suggestion on xbox.usersvoice about removing the "region lock" on languages on the Xbox One.. You're not alone in wanting a change in this matter..

Langauage option makes no sens!

OK, so we have now selected language to Norwegian and that's put us in Norway I guess. And we can change to English for English language and Norway language for purchases?

Sorry but a games language is locked to that region's main language and cannot be changed. If the game was region locked to a specific country in Europe that has French as the main language then I'm afraid that there's no way to change it.

The game is not "locked" due to country restrictions, but more due to space restrictions on the disc. A Xbox 360 DVD has only so much space, and a "Games on Demand" download game is simply an image of the DVD disc, without any additional space.

Since Skyrim is a large game to begin with, there was only space for ONE language on the disc for each country. So depending on what code you bought, it seems you bought the French version of the game.

No, you can't change the language of this game.

You could try to get a refund from Kinguin, but since they are "only" resellers from codes from other people, and digial codes are usually not "returnable", I'd doubt that Kinguin is going to help you there.

In the future, do NOT buy games from dubious stores like Kinguin that sell codes from other marketplaces to avoid getting games from strange countries.

The language on my Xbox is right and you can't change the language in Skyrim

One problem.richie it's a xbox 360 game not.a xbox one game

And blackops 2 is region and language locked

Downloading a different language will incur the language .lock if.he tries.and get the.dlc

Black ops 1-2 has a language lock if they use the wrong language disk or game.and download the region locked dlc the dlc is.locked with language of.the region downloading.a different region dlc will cause the language mismatch error (frpm.the 360 days )

Xbox games weren't language independent till xbox one games but.doesn't apply retroactively

And most bc titles are region locked most.famously cod games

@op you can't change it.unless you are in a region that supports the language.you are requesting like us English you must.be in the us
