skyrim is no longer able to be played

I bought my son Skyrim for christmas, and have never had an issue (he said it froze once or twice before now, but never more than that), until recently. He had a game he had been playing since he got the game, and about two months ago, got me interested
in playing. I haven't put much time into the game, but since i work nights and have children to take care of, I think I've put as much spare time as I can (I'm only a level 10). Four days ago, the game froze when loading from going to jail in whiterun, but
since I had to get ready for work, it wasn't a big deal. After that, the game froze about every 15 minutes of play (while I was on a quest for Red Birds sword or something like that). Then it got worse, as all the leather armor and iron arrows strated showing
up blue, instead of the original color. The freezing also worsened. Oh and the last night I played it, 2 nights ago, it seemed fine, but after that the freezing gradually got worse. It's now to the point that it freexes even when you try to start a new game,
before any cut scene even appears on the screen. I've tried everything to fix it/make it stop. deleted ALL game files (my son was over level 25, and was not happy about it), and my game as well. I've tried playing it without the update, so as the xbox live
feature was not on. I've tried turning off any type of autosave features also...I've tried deleting any game saves on the console that weren't absolutely needed to play other games, as well as look through the other game saves for other corrupted files that
may have in some way caused the game to malfunction. No dice. I hate to start a campaign against Bethesda games for making games that only play to a certain point, then become little more than a piece a trash that cheated consumers out of money, but at this
point, I don't know what else to do, as I feel like I WAS cheated out of my hard earned money, not to mention time, which goes for me and my son... Anyone have any suggestions? Also, the disc is perfectly fine, no scratches or blemishes on the disc. This
is the only xbox360 game that causes our console these problems...Thanks

What is so great about Skyrim ?

"the game will eventually be over and thats it"...umm all games end eventually...what are you talking about...Skyrim is probably longer than most games you'v played.

 

This game is garbage

Black Ops 2 is pretty far down on your 'recently' played list, so I have to ask: what was the point of coming to a forum to complain about a game you no longer play? That'd be like if I went on the Skyrim forum to complain about what a streamlined piece
of fluff that game is compared to other RPGs when I haven't played it for months....

 

It may be an issue with the storage device itself. Try removing any and all storage devices you may have on the console and try the game. If you have a hard drive and usb drives that are plugged in put on in at a time, restart the console and then try
the game again. If it continues freezing without the hard drives you may need to repair/replace the console. If it freezes with a hard drive then you may need to replace the hard drive.

 

We have a 250 Gb internal hard drive, and have never plugged any storage devices into it, as weve never come close to using up the space (we have 198 gb free). My son and I went through all the games yesterday to see if any of the games have any other buggy
problems, and thats is a resounding no.. Even games that have gotten updates an/or require a player to, at least, sign in to xbox live, are seemingly fine...I wonder if that's just the quality of Bethesda games, or possibly elder scrolls....I know that I won't
ever buy from them again, and will actively campaign among my friends to either buy a game from a different game develpoer/company or to just hold on to their hard enrned money (i might have included xbox/microsoft, but the problem seems to be consistent bad
across all consoles)
