Skyrim Freezes when I try to enter or fast travel to Whiterun

So last night I started having this problem with Skyrim.

Whenever I attempt to enter or fast travel to Whiterun, my game freezes on the loading screen (can't move the floating item, no sound, no controller response) and I have to shut the console off and restart. I've tried reinstalling Skyrim to the HDD, Playing
off the disk, clearing the cache, and making new saves, but none of these fix the issues. I do have the 3 DLC Installed (Dawnguard, Dragonborn, Hearthfire), and I have no idea what's going on This is making the game unplayable!

Having A Problem With A Installed Game

It freezes when I try to fast travel to where the main story is at.

Open your map and fast travel back to Whiterun.

 

The usual things usually work. Okay, when you are entering or fast traveling are you going to the main gate? Have you tried fast traveling to Dragonreach? It's something different. The only other thing I can suggest is to bite the bullet and go back to the
last save where you could enter the city and start over from there. It is a bitter pill to swallow I know, since I had to do it twice to undo a screw-up.

 

Can't fast travel to Dragonsreach, can't enter the gate, can't fast travel to Whiterun. Tried what you suggested, and I still can't get into Whiterun. It freezes up. Could it be an issue with the xbox? or maybe the disk?

 

Should I try reinstalling the DLC? Could something DLC related have glitched out Whiterun?

 

Well, before I went back to an old save I would try deleting and reinstalling the DLC. I once lost about 20 hours of game time and it hurt so try everything. It's a very strange problem. I wouldn't think it is Xbox but it could be the disk. check it for
scratches and give it a wipe. I have had disks with a finger touch that did one weird thing in a game and cleaning it solved the problem.
