Skyrim disc read error when loading save... on a downloaded game!

Having this problem with Skyrim. All other games work fine, but Skyrim after 15 hours of play has decided to give a disc read error on attempting to re load my save file. Disc looks perfect and all other games play fine. What the hell is going on?

I take it you are having problems on the Xbox 360 version of Skyrim? Your Gamertag suggests so.

There is a disc to read, the hard disk where the game is installed. The Xbox 360 has a very limited OS, and there has never been a specific read error for hard drive read failures. This is why, even if the game you are having problems with is a download,
it will still give the same error as it does when it has issues reading a Xbox 360 game disc.

Either your game is corrupt or there is something physically wrong with the hard drive. A possible fix is to delete the game and download it again, but downloading something else first. Go to the store and download a demo - one at least 1GB. When this has
downloaded, download Skyrim again. This will move Skyrim to another part of the Xbox 360 hard drive. You can delete the demo game, but only after you have downloaded Skyrim again.

If you are still having problems after this, you'll need to replace the hard drive unit.

unreadable from a new skyrim game? its probably your hard rive, I once had issues like that, I just kept ejecting the disc until something came up, but usually when you successfully install a game, there should be not read errors since most of the data is
pre-loaded

Hmmm, odd solution... but Sonic Generations is 7.2gb. I cant see anything that big on the marketplace to download, unless I buy a reasent Game on Demand title. I was recomended to try another HDD by Xboxsupport on Twitter, but to no avail. Still get disc
read errors when running from the HDD. Dragons Dogma was also 7.something. I have researched these 2 games and apparently theres been countless reports of disc read errors with them, even the downloadable version of Sonic gives disc read errors. I havent tried
running the games directly from the disc as I know for a fact that my disc drive is not the fault here, besides I allways install games, not only to save wearing out my disc drive but to save on electricity. Installs -fine, reads discs first try, but these
2 games obviously have something wrong with them - programming wise.

I'm having the exact same issues with Skyrim on a On Demand copy! There is NO DVD and I still get "Disc Unreadable" whenever I load a save. This is not an xbox hardware issue, something with Skyrim itself is buggy.

I can start a new game fine, save.. and load those saves. But trying to load my previous saves crashes. I've tried from USB, Cloud Saves, and hard drive. All fail.
